Hiya

I'm new - well, I've been reading and lurking for a few days until I was brave enough to post.

I'm Ella, in Hampsire, and I sadly lost a much loved Persian (Henry) last month to cancer and am starting to look at filling that huge cat shaped hole, but it's early days and not helped by the fact that I also became unemployed 3 weeks before he died - so I dont want to commit to owning a cat until I can be sure that I can afford the vet bills etc.

Henry was a rescue cat, and I am keen to adopt a Persian in the future, I'm about to post an 'urgent appeal' I saw on a Persian Rescue website today in the 'rescue' part of the forum.

Glad you've found us, I'm sure you'll enjoy it here.  It really is a very friendly forum with lots of friendly helpful advice, if ever needed, and of course lots of fun.

I do feel it my public duty to warn you though that it can be a teensy bit addictive  :Crazy: You have been warned  :evillaugh:

Sorry to hear about Henry  :hug: I hope that when the time is right for you that you can find another cat to help fill teh cat-shaped hole in your heart  :hug:

I'm another persian lover, have 6 at the moment, plus 1 moggie now. I also saw the Chapelhouse appeal the other day, sounds like they've got several poorly ones  :(

So sorry to hear about Henry ... you are amongst people who understand the pain and heartache associated with losing a furbabe.  :hug:  Would love to see pics of the special man if you have any.

I'm fairly new to Purrs myself and am so sorry to hear about Henry, he was gorgeous.   :Luv2:

I hope that you are finding the forum a great source of comfort, despite being new I was touched by messages from others after losing my lovely girl to FIP recently and have found everyone very friendly.  I hope that being among like-minded cat lovers helps ease that aching cat-shaped hole, just a little.    :shy:

Please keep in touch about your quest to rescue a new Persian, we love to see pictures!!!
