I have just witnessed the most amazing thing, Pedro went into the litter tray and pushed and pushed and out came a 3 inch length of poop just like stiff toothpaste only poop coloured  :yayyy: :yayyy: :yayyy: :yayyy: :yayyy: :yayyy:
Next target normal lumps but not too hard

What excellent news for Pedro  ;D - grounds for cautious optimism.  I do so hope that Diablo is working by a bit of sight.  Good news too about Marguerita, Lollipuss, Huggi, Monkey and Mooch  :Luv:

Pedro has eaten well this morning without having to be syringe fed so thats a huge step in the right direction. Seem to have gauged the lactulose ok as first thick and creamy poop passed and I am certain he felt it coming out because he went to a corner on kitchen floor during his second meal today, now we have to aim for a toothpaste consistency , bet none of you realised what a work of art pooping is
Diablo is becoming very greedy and is now the strongest of the 3 tinies, he seems to know his way around the kitchen so its difficult to tell if there is any improvement to his sight, he is still deaf. Marguerita not wanting to be left out says hello as do Lollipuss, Mooch, Monkey and Huggi who are all fine.

Well hes home and back in with Diablo and Marguerita, hes had pain relief as he has a rather sore back passage but he is his usual bright self, had to syringe feed him as he still doesnt want food but maybe all the gas has put him off, will be watching him like a hawk and praying for poop. When I said he is his usual bright self I should have said usual disruptive self,he is currently leading his brother and sister in a bid for the great escape.

Bless his brave little heart  :Luv:

I so hope the little soldier pulls through    One thing is certain - he'll feel a lot more comfortable now.  I am constantly amazed at what can be done these days.

Yes, it is indeed well that this little family is with you.  I dread to think...  Hugs to Diablo and all of them.

Andy just phoned, I can go and fetch Pedro home very shortly. Problem is at colon end and they have put tube up his bum with a balloon on end and blown it up to stretch him open, his bowel has been emptied good style. Andy says they are not sure if it has been a case of a stricture causing a megacolon or muscles that wont work at colon end, we have to keep his poop fairly loose for day or two and see how it goes, there is still a chance that Pedro cannot survive without having his colon removed Andy said he didnt think he could put Pedro through that, so its still wait and see and pray.
I thank God that this little family are safe with us.

 :thanks:

Have left little Pedro at the vets, both Andy and Rebecca are on his case and will do all they can; this little lad really needs all of our prayers; wont know whether he is having surgery until results of barium meal are known.
Meanwhile Diablo and Marguerita are busy playing in the living room (in a pen) and Monkey, Mooch,Lollipuss and Huggi are having the time of their lives rolling around with some reject catnip mice that look more like spotted slugs. the difference in this little family is quite amazing, if only we can help our Pedro.
Sorry no pics as I need to find time to feed camera ingredients into new computer.

I thought I saw Diablo looking at me,wishful thinking I know got Andy to check and first he said no but he examined more carefully and he can tell a slight bit of bright light so there is hope for some sight as inflammation reduces.

Please, please may it be so.

Pedro has been given a stronger enema with no effect,he has had a barium meal and must go back in morning for vets to see how far its managed to travel, both Andy and Rebecca have warned they may need to open him up and Andy says he may not make it; Pedro is bright and happy most of the time and hoping to get into the guinness book of records for most expensive kitten poo ever   On a serious note I am not prepared to give up on my boy.

Let us hope his happy disposition is a good sign.
