Westgate Ark has recently opened a Cat Homing Centre in the West End of Newcastle Upon Tyne.

We have a lots of rescued cats coming into our Homing Centre and are very active and dynamic in finding them good homes! We are open for viewing seven days per week from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.

We welcome volunteers as cat cuddlers, to spend time socialising and befriending our cats and kittens, and also to help with the cleaning, feeding, medication and showing visitors around.

If you would like to get involved in helping out, fostering, would like to adopt a cat, or need our help in any way please do contact us!

Hey guys - welcome to Purrs!!  :welcome: :welcome:  Lovely to see you - Murray's Mum here (Moray, one of your former charges who came to live with us at the back end of September.  ;D ;D

So pleased you found us.

You do such an amazing job.  Hope you enjoy the forum, and that you get some enthusiastic cat cuddlers and volunteers to swell the ranks.   :)

welcome! you've joined at a bit of a mad time with the annual fundraising auction but its worth keeping an eye on to see hows purrs helps rescues  ;)

Hi Sue,

thanks for the warm welcome & for giving Moray such a lovely new home!

I am sure this will be a great forum for us to reach local people that we can offer our help and services to, and also get help and support back.

We have some good resources, people and experience here and would love to help cat loving enthusiasts with practical help wherever possible. We are also always looking for new homes, helpers & odds things from unwanted bedding, to help with a vet run or finding a home on a farm or stables for a feral cat. So we are sure hoping to hear from some of the members!

 :welcome: :welcome: :welcome:  as Sue says it's all a bit manic at the moment but if you have a shuftie round the site you'll get a good idea of how we "work" and the kind of support we offer rescues and vice versa.  Great to have you on board, keep up the good work  :hug:
