hello,
any one know how they're cheaper?
cos i'm just looking at cat flaps and the staywell magnetic one from there is 19.99, but nearly everywhere else its 38!!!! i'm sure its the same flap - i just dont get how they can do it almost 20quid cheaper!!!!!
-
Cos they can buy in bulk and will get big discounts and also some things will be sold at a loss to advertize themselves.
You also have to remember that some retailers could be adding over 100% mark up on them. There will be a recommended price but it doesnt have to be followed.

Staywell have a lot of models so check the model number. Sometimes retailers that buy in bulk can have things made to a lower spec to reduce price - I think staywell are pretty good though (better than petmate)

cool, thanks guys. its just so weird its sooooo much cheaper!! but very very good for my wallet!
-
yes check the number carefully as just the difference of a single letter or digit could mean a reduced product . :'(
-
I so wish i could have a cat flap!
I rent so cant get away with it!
-
i cant see a product number. but all the measurements and that are the same....

Argos is always cheaper. I get loads of my stuff in there. They've just opened a new store down the road from me which is fab! ;D
If the cat flaps look the same they probably are. My cat flap was significantly cheaper in argos than anywhere else. I've noticed that Pets At Home especially hike their prices up.

Buffy, know what you mean. We rent, and we had to be living in the house about two years before the landlord agreed to let us put a cat flap in!
-
Well at least it's easy to change things or get a refund in argos :shify:

that is always a huge plus mark. very reassuring!
