What thing makes the ultimate choice of vet?

I got criticised today (only mildly :evillaugh:) over which one of our CP vets I decided to use for two braces of cats from a multi cat household I was bringing into care. We have 4 regular vets we use for CP work and usually the vet choice for a first check over is made by the person doing the transporting ( in this case me!  :naughty:) Volunteers will often use a vet nearest to the fosterer, or where the cat was collected from or it's decided by when the vets actually have available appointments.

Today I chose to use PAH Canterbury over and above all our usual vets because it is right next door to Morrisons and I fancied raiding the bakery department at the same time.  :shify:

It made be wonder whether (apart from the obvious of a good quality service  ;) ) other folks use strange reasons as deciding factors when choosing a vet to use?  :shy:
