I have changed the name of the thread for people that may not know about it. Maybe this thread should be skickied until the contest is over rather than deleted?  :shify:

If someone wants to give it a better title, feel free.

if the food is going to be donated to a rescue shouldn't we all be voting for the same cat so that we definately win??  btw my star is still only on page 34  :evillaugh:

You can vote for as many cats as you like - so you can vote for them all  ;D

One post is hardly cluttering the place up, the other threads are now in one place for all those who are interested in it to carry on voting.  I'm still voting for all the Purrs cats but am glad they've been moved.

Well I'm glad you brought it up Mark, I could hardly say anything as I posted a 'Vote for...' thread myself (although I was the first to post so it wasn't an issue when I posted :evillaugh:). Now they're in one place people can concentrate on voting if they choose to, would be a nice outcome for a Purrs cat to win and donate the food to a rescue on here but unlikely I fear  :shy:

Lol just seen my emails from last two days and there are loads of em. It woudl take me till next week to vote for ya all.

I do agree thought that it would be better to have one thread only for this competition than many single threads.

I'm with the keep it all in one thread brigade!  Or create a temporary sub-board maybe?  I'm all for a bit of fun but when what seems like every thread reading "please vote for ....." I do tend to get a bit fed up - and won't look for any new threads just switch off.

It's not just this forum though, there are lots of others that are becoming inundated with "please vote for" threads so nowhere is safe at the moment.

I have been quietly voting for all the Purrs cats and Bunnies despite finding it difficult to cope with all the threads on this topic and indeed finding the numbers annoying. However there is now a touch of nastiness coming through on 2 threads, so I am sorry I will no longer vote for anyone.
Yes trying to win food for a rescue is a good thing, but petty squabbles and losing regular people who provide valuable input into this forum is not good.

Realistically, there will always be people with loads of ways of getting votes. To have a chance of winning the food, we would have been better putting on a mascot such as Minimopsical and everyone getting everyone they know to vote?

CC, you know full well that i dont think getting food for rescues is a bad thing, what is annoying me is the sheer quantity of posts covering up potentially much more important posts.

There's no need to get stressed about it, I'm one of those who posted a thread (in my defence mine was the first  :evillaugh:) but I have to agree when almost the entire first page is taken up with 'Please vote for..' threads it's a bit much.  The suggestion was to have one thread with all the links in so people can vote and chat about it to their hearts content on that thread without annoying those who aren't interested.

I think thats a bit harsh CC - we dont all have time to spend scrolling past loads of threads to see if we can help someone. And I dont know about anyone else, but I didn't even know the prize was food that could help a rescue as I have no interest in this - if there had been one thread that people could have posted a link onto, I might have had a look, but I dont have the time to go through 19 threads (or more now)

Afraid I am one of the grumpies too, especially on my e-mail notification, as all I can see is Please - and it makes you think that it is something important, and it is just yet another vote thread, so one section that we dont have to register for would be great. I am finding it hard to find things on the forum too.
