There are a few Dylans about I think although not many and I've only seen one other person on here mention a Hobbes.

One of my cat sitting customers cats is called Hobbes.  ;D

Another is called Monty, nothing unusual about that really, but after looking after him for the past week I've been calling him Lord Monty as he's definitely Lord of the Manor LOL!  :evillaugh:

Indy - after Indiana Jones as he looks good, theoritically pretty smart but gets in silly silly situations and in first few days being in the house was chased down the stairs by the dogs giant tennis ball

Misha - after a pet lynx in an online game I play

Mabel - when I first saw her she was stood on a Table and became known as Table Cat... then Mabel onna Table  :-[

and if I get another indoor kitty I really like the name Seefur

Haven't had any names from either list, altho a little surprised as Jet isn't that creative hehe (I've covered her ears so she can't hear me), but I don't think I've heard of another Cruz.  Previously had an Indi (Indiana) and as a child we had a Snuff (my mum had the snuffles when they got her).  One of the guys at work has a kitten called mia - as she went missing in action the very first day they had her - she hid inside the sofa

Memphis was Dexter from about 4 weeks - 7 weeks of age. Then I figured it wasn't doing him any justice (yes I did name him after Dexter the serial killer  :evillaugh:), Elvis didn't really suit him so whilst going through Elvis related things I came up with Memphis and am very pleased with his name. I actually called one of his sisters Roswell  :evillaugh: It totally suits him and it's not common. Mig (bunny) isn't a common name either. However, Molly evens things out as she has the most popular dog name. But I've always wanted a MollyCollie  :evillaugh: Next doggie will have an unusual name since I've gotten Molly out of my system.

I neighbours when I was growing up had a lovely old moth-eaten ginger boy called Tat - it suited him so well. He was one of those cats that would be waiting on the corner for the kids  :Luv2:

Thinking about it - th name probably came from Puddy Tat?  :evillaugh:

There are a few Dylans about I think although not many and I've only seen one other person on here mention a Hobbes. Dylan was called that when I adopted him but it does suit him as he is so laid back and sleeps for England like Dylan the rabbit from the Magic Roundabout. Hobbes is after the tiger in Calivn and Hobbes.

Other than that I've had a Cleo and a Sophie

My favourite latest ones we've had in our CP branch were two kittens we named Dolce and Gabbana (not my idea but I loved the names) and my other fave was a gorgeous ginger boy we had a while ago and called Thomas O'Malley.

So many people who ring me think I will not guess the colour of their cat when they tell me their names.

Snowy & Sooty

When they say Snowy I say is it black or if the say Sooty I say is it white, they seem amazed when I am right. They all really think they are unique.

I once had a Tigger.

Other than that, not in either list.

We've (or I've) had / have a Felix, a Tigger, a Vlad the Cat, a George (technically George Duke of Clarence, thanks to nige), an Edward (technically Edward Earl of March - also thanks to Nige), and a Magnus (who was originally called Friend, when he arrived).

Including fosters, I have had 7 off the top 10 list, but none off the unusual list. Think the most unusual foster was Sonny Jim (now renamed Samson). The only one of my fosters I have renamed so far was Swiggy, normally I just keep the name till they get rehomed, but couldnt live with that.

I did have a slightly humerous conversation at the vets last year - I had 2 appointments, one for Zia, and one for Mia, and I Was booking in a new foster to be spayed - she was called Tia. Luckily Tia was a different colour, or that would have been really confusing, as Zia and Mia were both dark torties.
Please spay your cat

I always wanted a cat called The Professor, or Wing Commander or something similar.  :evillaugh: But I think the ultimate unusual cat's name has to be the late, great Colonel Beau (Sir) of Catchat fame.  :Luv:

I might have to add Owl Capone to that list of unusual names.

Robins parents cats had/have lovely and quite unusual names: Ichabod, Persephone, Mandarin, Aduki, Pinto, Selene, Aphrodite, Dido...
Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.

I thought Chilli was pretty unique till I cam here  :shy: No other Dizzy's that I know of (my black baby who is in retirement with my Mum) and certainly no other Dave's  ;D

I like them to have names that are either different or descriptive, Dizzy because when she was a kitten she would run straight into the walls, Chilli because she was a feisty little butter when a kitten and Dave because it makes me giggle.

ETA: I lived with a cat called Mouse, as in cat and, a gorgeous slightly brain damaged long haired grey moggy who would have funny turns leading her to attack you in a really demonic focussed way unless you successfully snapped her out of it  :evillaugh: Then there was Scruff who was so named because she was a semi-longhair who would use her fur to pick up garden debris and never clean it out  :evillaugh:

My uncle had a stray cat adopt him and he called her Puke as she'd always eat her food so fast she'd throw it back up again   I was disgusted at the name choice and always made a point to call her Daisy -  :)
