I'm sorry you feel the need to respond to people's help and suggestions in this way.

I can't work out how to delete a user account at the moment; you could if you wished simply remove your contact details from your profile and leave your account dormant, that'd also leave you the option of returning to join here at a later date.

You're OK - you didn't make a mistake. Read my post on the cat food thread? You can send me a PM (click on my name then click 'send private message') if you'd rather.

I don't think anyone thinks that you are wrong, although some people have wondered if your tutor's advice was right or not - or if you might have misunderstood what your tutor had said.

It's not a matter of people thinking that they are better or older or cleverer than you, just that they see something that doesn't make sense to them, so they ask questions to try and understand it more.

I dunno how! I'm really sorry - I can work pretty much everything else on these forums, I like computers, but I can't find a 'delete' button! I'm feeling a bit embarrassed about that actually  :-[.

Maybe Tan can delete your account for you later, if you're still sure that's what you want?

I suppose she could delete her posts/threads and then just not use the account?

I'm assuming if we delete our first post in a thread it deletes the whole thing? Never tried though!!

I'm sorry to hear that you want to leave, Chiriffmissy. I think that, just like in real life, debate and disagreement are how we find stuff out.

I believe Tan and Gill are the only ones who can delete accounts, Becca.

Chiriffmissy, I hope you reconsider. I haven't read your food thread, because I don't feel I have enough knowledge to answer some questions posted! (Which might sound odd, considering I've had cats for about twelve years;I just know I'm not always right and don't want to give out duff information!)

 :)

Only admins can delete accounts, you are right Christine.

If  Chirriff wants the account deleted it can be done but if she doesnt use the account anymore that works to but it means that should she want to return then she can in the future.

Chiriffmissy, please reconsider, this is a very friendly site.Your youth does not come into this.  I have had cats for forty years and when I joined CC first and then Purrs I realised there was so much I didn't know.  Things change over the years, if you think about it when I was a child cats were always given milk now we know it's not good for them.  We are all open to anything that might help our cats.  Any information we receive we can use it or ignore it as we wish.

I had a very elderly disabled neighbour and I asked him once how he kept so happy and bright.  He said if he could learn one new fact a day it kept him going, because no one knows everything and if you are willing to learn it keeps your mind open and active.

I do hope you come back
