Sending you and Narla lots of    Our foster cat, Bonnie, became quite vocal during the few hours before the kittens arrived and didn't eat much at all.   We did have a false alarm a couple of days earlier so it's hard to tell how close she is.   Not sure why it is but I have heard that early evening seems to be when most kittens are born.
Unconditional love is hard to find unless you have a cat

she definately sounds close, has she got any milk coming through at all? a good idea is white towels, cloths in her box...they will show colour of any discharge etc without over fussing her xx
she sounds like shes doing good so got fingers crossed mum and babies are ok..

I think she might have them this weekend. She is happy in her nest box and is still eating and drinking doesnt seem in pain. the kittens are still moving and you can see and feel them. She is being kept in the front room away from the boys

When we fostered Socks last year, she spent ages washing her 'ladies parts' in the hours prior to giving birth and also had an inoffensive discharge so I think this is normal.
Despite us providing her with a choice of suitable nesting areas she chose to give birth on our sofa!
Make sure you have some towels to hand and put one under her wherever she settles down, as she will choose where she gives birth no matter how inappropriate you may think it is
Expect the birth to last quite some time, Socks had four kittens born each about an hour apart, don't leave her until you are sure she has finished, Sock's last kitten got stuck so I had to very carefully help him out, he wasn't breathing and Socks just left him once he was delivered, I had to clean him up and rub him in a towel and blow on him, I got him breathing and this is him now, the adorable Moses.

Sock's kittens were delivered 'live on Purrs', the members on here were wonderfully supportive, lucky Socks waited till late evening when everyone was home from work to advise!
Good luck, keep a close eye on her and have towels, your computer and the vets phone number to hand  - oh yes and a camera, we must have photo's its compulsory :naughty:

Hi lilylau , she could very well be, I know that at the first stage of labour she will lose a clear odourless mucus plug this means her cervix is begining to dilate (open) and she will start having contractions  , how is her behavior does she seem to be restless ? I have never had a pregnant cat but I have had a pregnant dog before but I'm sure it is pretty much the same process  .
