Snooze you lose Carol  :naughty:

Gill - I tried a straight on shot but it had the reflection from the living room lights in it like chinese lanterns! I'll take one during the daylight with the lights off but my shifts at the moment mean I go to work in the dark and come home in the dark so will have to wait for my rest days!

That's great.  :wow:  I'm so glad you like it Helen (smiles through clenched teeth) and I don't bear any grudge about you  out-bidding me on this item in the final seconds of the auction.  :innocent:  Honestly.  :naughty:

Ray says you are very welcome - he really enjoyed doing it!

I really can't thank him (and you) enough. It's way, way, way past my expectations - and I was expecting it to be good having seen his other work. I'm beaming everytime I look at it  :)

 :thanks: :thanks: :thanks:

The most fabulous auction win...

The boys' portrait kindly donated by the extremely talented Raymond Strange (Kirst's OH).

As you know I've had cause to complain about my other auction wins, bed too small, mirror too true to life  :naughty:

But this....

Is absolutely amazing, I'm thrilled to bits. It's soooo lifelike and I can really see their personalities shine through  :Luv: I love it!  :wow:

It's also mahoosive - I was expecting A4 size and couldn't believe it when I picked it up from my sisters (Kirst very kindly delivered it but I was working).

Here's Lu demonstrating the scale...

Lu looks a lot darker here as you can only see the back of him - the front of him is a much lighter dusky grey which has been captured perfectly.

I love it, I love it, I love it  :wow:

Massive thanks to Raymond Strange for such a generous and special donation  :)
