This is little Marvin at 5 months old he has had more homes than some people have had hot dinners. He is a dear sweet little boy who despite being neutered on Friday mounted poor Minimopsical this afternoon and proceed to take some exercise. We had allowed him out of his pen for some people to view him and to show that he is good with other cats.
Well Marvin was just a bit too lovey dovey and didnt get the home :) hopefully those hormones will settle soon.

Poor Minimopsical! :-[ Adolescent boys, eh?
Marvin is lovely - what a shame that he has been passed from pillar to post. Fingers crossed that the right people come along quickly for him.

AH???
How could someone dont want him ??
He's lovely xx
-
Poor Mini, hope she got those paws in gear and wopped him one ;D
he looks so cute but why does he keep being moved from home to home................what hidden secrets has he got
-
another beautiful black cat oh! Teresa are you stocking up on black beauties???
Think you better do a thread just about all your black furbabes
-
He's lovely Teresa, hopefully Marvin's hormones will settle soon and he will bag himself a lovely forever home :)
-
Gill To be honest I think poor Minimopsical enjoyed his amorous advances, she is after all an attractive cat and yes she was spayed over 2 years ago. The area he came from is very rough and people rarely keep a pet more than a week or two.
Saffron if I get a little free time I will do a thread of my black beauties.
-
Aww, he is lovely, and I do hope that he finds a good home soon. Bless Mini!!
-
Oh he is sooooo handsome :Luv: :Luv:
I am sure he will find a loving forever home soon xx
-
Hope the little lad is settling down and doing well?
-
Marvin is a mucky maniac, so far his skills include
Humping Minimopsical - both seemed to enjoy
Riding bareback on Polly - she is truly disgusted
Attempting to mount Winnie - Shes learnt to run very fast
Failed attempt at mounting Tula - he wont try her again
Worst of all hes twice mounted Buster the President - Buster is reeling from the shock of having to take his claws out of retirement
He really is a lovely boy , I have bought him a nice new bed today as he was humping the old fleecey one too much.
-
He is doing well rather than settling down, then
-
I think he needs a new name.......................print here

Sounds like Marvin is quite a character and he certainly is a smashing looking young chap. I hope he finds his forever home soon. It's good he gets on with other cats; the fact that he get on & off with them makes him all the more lovable.
-
Marvin has just won the cat lottery and will be going to his forever home tomorrow evening all being well. :)
-
Thats fantastic news Teresa. :Luv:
-
that's wonderful, you seem to be doing really well on homing at the moment T.
-
Well done Marvin!
I hesitate to ask this, Teresa, but are there other cats in his new home? :evillaugh: Or have his hormones stopped raging yet?
-
He`s going to be an only cat :)

Marv is loving his new found freedom of our house, he`s been investigating all the new sights, sounds and smells all evening :evillaugh:
Myself and him had a quiet moment together earlyer on and we both watched some TV on the sofa together, then it was back to exploring for Marv!
Just playing some hide and seek at the mo.
Here is the one pic I managed to grab as he was on a mad 1/2 hour......

We are really enjoying his company and I hope he is enjoying ours, been good as gold so far :)
-
Aww, I am so pleased that he seems to be doing so well.
-
Fabulous pics Paul. Marvin really is ALL black isn't he. Most 'all black' cats have a few white hairs hidden away somewhere but I can't see any on Marvin. Glad you're all having fun - its really great to see.
-
Good to see him looking so happy, he`s certainly landed on his paws.
-
Excellent to hear Marvin has a home. My husband thought he sounded ace! He's a gorgeous cat.
-
Awwwww what great photos and what a handsome cat Marvin is :Luv:
-
Another update!
Over the last few days Marvin has been a pleasure to care for and play with!! He is all you could ask for in a cat :Luv:
He has been entertaining himself infront of the washing maching this eve.

Damn is that the time!!! best get some kip!!!
-
Lovely pics Paul, Marvin looks so happy and settled, good job he wont be coming back as I had to juggle space to accomodate another sorry little one yesterday, so now Tinker the Tenor has pride of place in Marvins old bed.
-
Awww bless him :Luv: who needs cat toys when you have a washing machine
-
Lucky lucky Marvin hasn't he fallen well and trully on his paws with Paul.
-
Took Marv for his 2nd jab on Tuesday, he didn't look too pleased about that! The vet checked him over and found a slight heart murmur, she said its common in kittens and should sort its self out :scared: she said it could also be because he is scared of the vets and that has upset him alittle, hope this sorts itself out!! I think I will take him back in a week or so to see if its sorted its self out.
Any thoughts on this??? should I be worried or does this sort of thing sort its self pout given time??
Paul.
-
Paul this is fairly common in kittens and usually sorts itself out as they grow older, I wouldnt worry about taking him back to the vet for a few months unless he displays signs of being unwell. It must be very slight as it wasnt picked up at first vaccination or neutering time and we both use the same vet. During the time he was with us he was what I would describe as being a 90mile an hour kitten and never once became breathless or showed any sign of anything being wrong, so try not to worry.
Might be better for you to call in and speak to the vet on your own and explain how worried you know feel, I am sure they will explain things more carefully and reassure you.
-

Hehe Marv is still very much a 90mph kitten and shows no signs of breathlessness after a good workout with that peacock feather which is showing its age now :evillaugh:
Thanks for the advice Teresa :)
-
Marv has been investigating our back yard recently......

Aww, wonderful pics.
-
Awww what a handsome wee boy Marvin is :Luv:
Great pics too ;D
-
It's always fantastic to think about the difference between the cats' former lives, and where they're at now. A couple of months ago, Marvin was being passed around from home to home. Now look at him!
Well done as ever to Teresa for rescuing him, and to Paul for giving him the sort of home he deserves :)
-

Update time!!!!!
Thought I would update you on Mr Mucky Marvin!! He`s now been with us for over 2 years and he`s gone from mischievous kitten to mischievous adult cat!! He`s doing very well and is 100% fit and healthy :wow:
He does have some annoying habbits that we cant seem to get him out of, if its raining he loves it!! he will stroll in soaking wet, shake himself off all over our legs, let us towl dry him off then promptly leg it back outside :censored: little sod!! currently he`s upstairs on the bed snoozing but earlyer on I took some pics of him........
