Hi Mojo,

Yes, I think you're right he was called Brutus. Do you remember the bit where the mother cat moved the kittens and then lost them and they were reared by the mother cat's mother ?,. Isn't nature a wondeful thing.

Yes the cat noises really made Alfie look for them :)

Cheers

Hiya,

Dolcetta, I saw a brilliant program some while back on the TV narrated by Richard Attenborough about the wild cats of Rome that live in the Roman ruins. There was one scene with kittens miaowing and Alfie kept looking for them behind the TV  ;D

I'm glad that you warmed up a bit hun, 'cause we're still freezing here, we could have done a few Jacket Pots here but the Health and Safety "Thought Police" weren't that happy with my get warm quick suggestions  ;D can't wait to get home and get some heating going, BTW, bought another rug today for the living room as, once I've fed the boys they both retire for the evening to sleep on the new bedside rug and I miss 'em so thought I'd lure at least one of them back to the Living Room  :evillaugh:

Cheers

Leigh

Hiya,

Thanks for the great link, some lovely pictures there, I like the one of the two cats sitting on the seat of the scooter  ;D

The program was great and, if I see it advertised again, I'm going to record it as Alfie went absolutely "potty" looking for these cats. Who knows maybe he's distantly related to some of them especially the black and white one on the top row as I believe that the Romans introduced a lot of cats to the UK.

Cheers

Yip Leigh, these Roman cats are very famous and I have seen many of them around various "hot spots".  Most of them are very well fed and seems to be in good shape, tourists are always ready to feed them and fuss them, so they are not afraid of humans at all either.  I am pretty sure they are happy with their lifestyle as they are, but on a very cold wet day, I can't help but become a bit worried about them... :-:

It suddenly turned into WINTER 2 days ago also in Rome... :(  Now I have to wear socks in the house, no more barefooting, which means the weather is too cold for me!! :( :(
But Oliver is getting extra snuggly these couple of days that is sweet :wow:  I guess he also wants to keep warm :)

Had the hugest baked potatoe with cheese and beans for me lunch as well, that worked a treat  :tongue 2:

'Cept I'm cold again now, and can't be naffed to go the kitchen to make a hot drink  :innocent:

Make sure you're fire extinguishers are at the ready hun, and that the powers that be don't find out ..... might contravene your fire risk assessment  :evillaugh:

Ouch Gill,

I have a mysterious series of parallel scratches about a dozen on my lower right leg from the ankle upwards that appear overnight maybe Suzie is using my right leg as a nocturnal scratching post as I cannot find any other explanation else it's a job for Mulder and Scully  ;D

Anyhoo he is quite full of it too... especially at the bed time, he would sprawl right in the middle of the bed, or better yet right across the two pillows, so either of us or neither of us can't fit in, we would look at him like "um, pardon me your highness... may I..."   he would just slightly lift his head and give us a look like "eh, thanks I am just fine here.  Now let me sleep in peace would you please." :innocent:

Me too, I HATE the cold, I've always hated the cold and I shall always hate the cold, I put it down to being a "summer" baby.

Alfie and Frankie are still burying themselves in the new sheepskin rug, I almost lost Alfie in the pile yesterday but Frankie stands out like, well, like a black cat on a white rug  ;D

I am a self-confessed heat freak, hate the cold, always have, always will!  I'd managed to get the bedroom nice and warm last night, o/h comes to bed and puts the fan on as its too stuffy grrrrrrrrrr.

Max isn't daft though, he's set up camp in front of the warm air vent for the day ...... wish I was at home as well, could do with doing the same, and more furry cuddles wouldn't go amiss either, had some lovely duvet snuggles this morning  :Luv:

Thanks for the though Hun but my office is also  :censored: freezing, I though that, human beings had advanced beyond wearing animal skins and relying on flint technology to light fires and keep warm but I'd settle for that right now  ;D

Sending warm thoughts your way.

With a morning like that, at least the day can only get better, right ?  :shify:

If its any consolation, the heating has been off in the office all weekend, and its  :censored: freezing in here, can barely feel my fingers to type  :-:

Am now wearing a jumper, a cardie and my scarf to try and thaw out

I need a :bike: in the office, call it warm-a-size  :evillaugh:

Good Morning Clare,

Or as good a morning as it gets considering that the day started with me having run out of  :censored: milk so no Cornflakes or Coffee, ongoing plumbing idiosyncrasies resulted in no hot water for a shower and, for good measure, Frankie had thrown up in the night in the middle of the Living Room carpet and thus I left for work more parched than the Sahara, with my stomach making the same sound as an articulated lorry full of marbles driving at speed over a large piece of corrugated metal and smelling of "Eau d'Humanité" the natural fragrence for men.  ;D

Frankie has serious "catitude", He's always giving me those "old-fashioned" looks, you know, the one's that arer a mxture of mild disgust and bemusement.   ;D

Cheers Hun
