Thyroid Operation Costs
« Reply #1 on: December 06, 2009, 23:29:48 PM »
Hi folks,

My elderly cat was diagnosed recently as being hyperthyroid. The only suitable option for treatment is an operation. The vet has quoted £300 for the op to remove one of the thyroids(I think) and I was wondering if this sounds reasonable? I only ask because a friend had her cat go through the same op, at the same vets, a couple of years ago and was only charged £150.  :shify:

Am I being too suspicious?
