Missing since 3rd January. Answers to the name Bacon with a high pitched, musical miaow. Bacon is an 11 year old, neutered male, all black with yellow/amber eyes. He is quite slim with a long, expressive tail. He's not a small cat. He was last seen in the Lansdowne Road/Chelmsford Road area of Walthamstow, just off Queens Road.
We moved to the area at the end of October and he hasn't been going outside around there for that long.
He is very affectionate and has never scratched or bitten me, although he's not that keen on being picked up - he likes to do things his way.
He is microchipped and was wearing a black collar with yellow, reflective cats' eyes on it when he went missing - the collar had a name tag and magnet.
Please post here if you think you may have seen him and I'll provide more contact details.

Bacon is still missing and we're now just hoping that someone is looking after him, but hasn't bothered to check whether he is microchipped.
As a result of all this, we're adopting another black cat who went to a cat rescuer the day Bacon went missing. It seems like the right thing to do - this cat needs a home and isn't chipped. If Bacon comes back we'll have 3 cats.

Good on you for rescuing another cat....Hope your babe still comes back cos in cat family's 3 is not a crowd! ;)

We had a response to our ad on AnimalSearchUK yesterday and when we went up to check yet another stray black cat - there he was. Bacon is home - slightly emaciated from 6 weeks out in all that freezing weather, but fine apart from that. So pleased to have him home.
:Luv:

I'm taking the day off today to make sure the 3 cats get on! I'll probably take Bacon to the vet as well - just to get him checked over.

Good idea
Great that he is back :)
