Lovely Cora gave me a headless mouse the other day.
I was overjoyed (no, really), as it's the first gift she has ever given me, and she did "give" it to me.
I've had headless mice before from other cats, and whilst it's very nice of them to take the head off, what do they do with it?
Do they eat them, or just bite them off?
I've never found one.......

I think they bite them off! I've often found the heads lying around in the past. Nice gift though

Perhaps it depends on the cat whether they bite them off and eat them or spit them out.
I've never found the heads from any of mine that have done it though.
I'm surprised Cora bit the head off, it was a plump mouse, and she's only a little dot.

er yes, fraid they eat them  lots of goodness in the heads you know ;)

When Ted has been mousing, I generally discover face and back end parts at the back door. The he will sik up the rest  You'd think he would learn, but no :'(

thankfully mine havent done that yet
moms cat pansy loves to bring home gifts though
i imagine they must eat the heads, cant understand why they dont bother eating the whole mouse though if they have gone that far unless they are all bringing them home in the hope of a nice fry up

I think I should have saved reading this one until after breakfast LOL
But yay that Cora is feeling so much better that shes having a hunt!! ;D
How are you getting on with the Hepatosyl Suzy?

I'm so glad mine have stopped hunting. My girl was the real mouser, would bring them back for days in a row when she found a new nest. You are going to hate me for saying this, but I once cause my boy trying to chew the head, couldn't watch too long, so I'm not sure where it ended up.
