Good for you; big rescues seem to quite happily take advantage of the smaller rescues.

Call from woman who has taken in a stray which has diarhoea, she needed me to take him because she does fund raising and home checking for RSPCA. I told her I had no room and questioned why she was not using her own rescue, guess what they told her pass on to me  She will be out fundraising for them on Monday so I told her ring them and tell them its time they used the money being raised for caring for the animals, she told me that cant be done as the fundraiser is for RSPCA in a different area, well by now my dinner was cold, I was struggling to speak without oxygen and I was seeing red; then she let slip that she must get to the local off licence to pick up collection tin so that she could hand it over on Monday; "one minute" says I" your local off licence is in this area, your stray is in this area, I will broadcast it on your estate where the money is going while stray is not being helped" guess I have finally learnt how to say no and whats more I will not be keeping quiet about what I know in future as I have done in the past.In fact I have also had a go about their Rspca peeps taking kittens from out of area and leaving adults un neutered and then appealing on internet for help with adult strays . Guess my big spoon has been hidden away for too long.
The cat will not be coming here but he will be cared for.
