Didnt need gardening gloves for the Minx in the end - I put a few Temptations treats down and while she was concentrating on those, just quickly picked her up and popped her in - no probs!

The vet wasnt so lucky though - or rather the vet nurses - Minx was taken through to the back to have blood taken and there was this terrible screaching and wailing, boy was she cross LOL!  :evillaugh: Vet said think most of the blood came from the vet nurses LOL!

The family group will all need dentals before they can be rehomed, so yet another trip to the vet next week! Still, won't have to take the Minx, phew!

Vet phone later to say they are all negative for FIV and FeLV, so Minnie the Minx is really ready to go on the website to find new owners - preferably ones who like 'character' cats!  ;)

Good luck  ;D
Have you a pair of gardening gloves to handle the minx with, if you feel safe and more confident she might not mess around as much!

Wish me luck - they are all 4 going to the vets tomorrow for FIV/FelV testing and a check over, I expect the older ones may need dentals at some point. I will have fun getting Minnie the Minx into the cat basket I'm sure.... :scared: I've finally been able to see Duchess properly (yesterday was the first time she got out of the bed while I was in the pen,  :yayyy: ) Poor little love has lots of patches of hair loss all down her back legs - flea allergy, fur pulling poss? Will see what the vet says tomorrow. I've wormed all of them, and deflead all but Minnie the Minx - am taking the flea stuff with me tomorrow so the nice vet can put it on for me!  ;)

They are all gorgeous Gillian, and welcome to world of rescue - you mad woman

LOL! Thanks  :thanks: - I think!!  :scared:

:Luv2: will the trio try to be homed together? Its so nice when they get to stay in their family group although not always practical  :innocent:

I hope so - they are very bonded, but I know how difficult it might be to rehome 3 together. Although observing them over the past few days I could see the mum Juliette go by herself as she is very confident and becoming more so each day,  I'd definitely want to see Bramble and Duchess go together, but ideally I think they should stay as a family group.

Juliette is so funny, you wouldnt think she was 12 yrs old when she's playing with the feather toy, she throws herself around like a kitten!  :evillaugh:

They are all gorgeous Gillian, and welcome to world of rescue - you mad woman

I'm not surprised they all chose the smallest bed.  My latest pregnant girl has the choice of a wicker basket, a lovely blue bed or a heated/massage bed and she chooses to lay on the floor, the window sill or my office chair.  I hope she chooses one of the beds before giving birth.  :scared:

Wot's "the family"'s story Gillian?  Apologies if you have said already elsewhere  :-:

So lovely the way they huddle together  :Luv:

They belonged to a man who was ill and wasnt coping with them. His daughter had been trying to find a rescue to take them before she had to go back to Scotland - Cats Action Trust was the only rescue that had space - and only then by the skin of their teeth as my pen was being built! When we got the cats into the pen the daughter said well, their living conditions are already better than before - so goodness knows how they were living.

Its funny, I've got a raised shelf in the cabin area - so I put one of those large plastic dog beds with lots of comfy bedding plus another smaller bed alongside (thinking plenty of room for them all to sleep together - but a choice of another bed if required). The first morning I went in, where were they? all squished together in the smallest bed LOL!  :evillaugh:

Sorry but you won't be terribly surprised when I admit to being another Minnie fan here; Duchess too of course  :Luv: :Luv: although obviously they are all beauties.  Wot's "the family"'s story Gillian?  Apologies if you have said already elsewhere  :-:

They are all gorgeous but must admit a soft spot for the tortie  :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:

Yup, me too  ;)

You know, one, or all perhaps, of the family group must be playing while I'm not there, as I've had to rescue the catnip mouse twice from the water bowl!

My first 'official' fosters - REHOMED MINNIE AT LAST!
This is Minnie the Minx! She was found as a stray and handed into a local vets. No owner came forward so she was the first to go in one of the pens. She's a character and she definitely doesnt like other cats, she growls and grumbles if she see's one of mine - and at me! - think because she can smell other cats on me? (or she just doesnt like me LOL!) She's quite young I'd think, poss no more than a year.

These are the 'family' Juliette (tortie and white)  :Luv2:  she's 12 yrs and is the mum of Bramble (tabby and white) 10 yrs, and Duchess (black) 8 yrs, who you can just see trying to hide themselves behind mum! Bless them, Bramble and Duchess are nervous (Duchess in particular is very nervous). Bramble is coming round but Duchess cringes when you go to stroke her poor little soul. Juliette isnt backward in coming forward LOL! and gets in the way when I'm trying to sweep up and do the trays etc! so much more confident than daughters.
