Not sure what went wrong there.. So continued!!

Simba needs no meds otehr then his food, litter tray lots of cuddles and a someone in the local area and we do not wish to transport him too far. Although anyone who does take him on for these 2 short weeks may need to bare in mind that he may go downhill. All while Simbas quality of life is good we will give him the best TLC we can offer. Vets have said he could go on for months or even a yr.. He is a little old man and been through a lot in his life so we want to make sure we can keep him with us for as long as we can.. Its just unfortunate that this old boy needs exta care that at the moment we do not have a back up plan for...

Simba would come back to us i think 3rd July and would be due his steriod injection as soon as he is returned. He is also fully vac and is really a very loving boy who i dearly wish we had got to know about earlier. But life is never that simple...

Can anyone help us if we fail to find a plan by the time our fosterer goes away.

Hello all a bit of an unusual request but seeing as it will not hurt to post here..
Simba is a abyssian puss cat (no idea how to spell that) he is 15 yr or so old and cold be older. He came into care a few months ago afer his elderly owner had to give him up.. Simba was not being fed well as the owner had dementia and sometimes forgot to feed him!! So we took on Simba and fed him up but he failed to put on weight. He is a very frail old fellow who we have no put on kidney diet as although his kidneys are not too bad a mixture of old age, hard life and diet has taken its toll on him. He is doing well and eats his special food okay and had to have monthly steriod injections. A few wks ago we thought we may loose him as was having problems with getting around. He has maintained his weight and seems happy and sleeps a lot of the day. He has now rallied and doing much better and will be due for his next steroid injection in  wks time, so he is bound to bounce back them. He is currently with an indoor fosterer and has access to a enclosed garden where he folllows the sun around and sits in the sun and enjoys life. He is very loving and indeed gets on with all and is okay with other cats.

He sometimes forgets to use his tray but now he can wander outside this had improved, he takes his food well and is a very undermanding cat if a little frail and old. But our problem is that his lovely fosterer is a way on hols late June and as of yet we have no plan to where to move him too that will still give him the care he needs... It would seem we have several fosterers away at the same time and ideally he needs to go to a foster home where someone is around during the day. Normally our lovely welfare officer would take over but she is away and although we have a suitable fosterer at the moment she still has a cat in care. The worst thing we want to do is to put him in a pen.  There is time for things to change but we do not wish to leave this to the last minute so are looking for a foster for him for 2wks
