Help, help, help!
For those of you that don't know me from CC, I'm the dog/horse person who has somehow ended up with a few felines :wow:
My new kitten, Eli, is about 4 months old now. He'd doing fine, UTD on everything and a cuddly guy. The only issues we're having right now is him harassing my poor older female and he can be a bit feisty when playing, but it's manageable.
The newest behavior I have witnessed though has me a bit curious. You know the burying movement they'll do after or before using the litter box. Well, he seems to do this around his feed bowl. It may be before he eats, after or during. What gives? is this normal random kitty behavior or--?
Thanks all :thanks:

It's perfectly normal. He's hiding the leftovers! :Luv:

Mine also do it if they do not care for what is served.

LOL I was worried too when I saw Barney doing this for the first time, thought I had done something wrong until these clever folk told me he's perfectly normal!!
It does make me laugh watching him do it! :evillaugh:

Yip, it's perfectly normal. My youngest kitten (Mia) still does it. Normally she eats everything that's put down for her, but if she has had enough & doesn't want it left for later she tries to bury it. However if she does like it, she may leave some & go back to it later withouth trying to bury it!
