He doesnt seem to be in any pain at all Lynn, my neighbour has offered to do some reikki on him so I might take her up on her offer.  I was convinced that he had just jumped and landed awkwardly and sprained something.

If you feel he is still uncomfortable or in any pain in next 1 or 2 days perhaps you could enquire with your vets if they would dispense some non steriodal painkilling medication for him.

i have just taken Rafffiki to the vets because he was limping on his front paw.

Over they years we have had many cats, (usually young) who have what may be what you describe. It was some sort of virus and all recovered.

Sorry haven't heard of a specific joint infection before,  I know that limping can also be down to a viral infection of some sort but can't find the reference to it I'm afraid.   I'm sure some more knowledgable people than me will be along soon though.

Fingers crossed it's nothing serious, kittens can be prone to infections with the stresses of a new home and leaving Mum.  Let us know how he gets on, and maybe when he's better we could have a pic or two  :)

Hi all,

i have just taken Rafffiki to the vets because he was limping on his front paw.  The vet said the his temperature is high and felt his joints, not just the one he is limpng on but all of them.  He said that he is 99% sure that it is joint infection.  I have got 7 days antibiotics and some more probiotic paste.

I am really worried about my baby boy - can anyone please tell me how serious this is and how he has got it.
