Hey...
Just recently lost my one and only cat, a beautiful Rag-doll of two years named Teasel... (http://ivy-moon.deviantart.com/art/Teasle-87281174), and that is really taking it's toll, but came across this site and saw how much all your own cats were appreciated and loved, it seemed right that I join.
So my name is Mootah and now I have my two dogs to keep me company.
A very timid yet very bouncy springer named Darcie who happens to be slightly cross eyed which adds to the dopiness...
And a very soppy cuddly middle aged springer named Paddy (http://ivy-moon.deviantart.com/art/Be-my-girlfriend-87280257) due to his huge paws...
I'm a prose writer... which is basically a none published writer and I'm cursing the fact I now have my muse back...
My mother is a photographer and she keeps my busy...
From Shropshire but originally I'm a Cumbrian girl I miss the hills but the change was for the best :)
I can now say that because my cat had to be put down because of a disease named F.I.P. that I'm more determined to help out with research into it...
-
Hi and welcome, sorry to hear about Teasel, two is so young - you are in the right place anyway - hope you enjoy it

:welcome: to Purrs
I am the Clan Cats Mother all 43 of them mainly feral but have a rescue ragdoll Minmin who is nearly 6, the Clan Cats also have their own pets their 3 doggies - Jazz a 15 JRT who is a proper Madam and is treated by the cats as a cat, and her "boys" Astra Zephyr Sky a black and white Border Collie aged 23 months and Ravenhill Blazing Sunshine know as Sunny who is a red and white boy who is coming up 6 months - the cats adore the dogs once they have put them in their place.
I went to Scholl in Cumbria and lived there for 10 years and also lost our rescue baby Gem and 3 of her kittens to FIP and have her surviving daughter Beijing who is a Corona virus carrier and is a naughty tortie like her Mum!
We are a friendly bunch and and now have global memebrs to and its like having a family you like rather than the one you have sometimes!
-
Mojo that somehow made all kinds of sense to me :)
And Liz im sorry to hear about Gem and her kittens and even more sorry for Beijing... Minmin sounds lovely do you have a picture of her? and I don't quite understand is Clan Cats a club?
-
no Liz really does have that many cats!
-

Oh wow... Thats amazing! one cat was enough to give me joy, imagine all the love from 43! :Luv:
-
We have that many cats as we do a lot of feral rescue and when we moved noone could look after my colony so I trapped and moved them all and they are now house cats and have a great life, also get all sorts of waifs and strays dumped in our woods - we live in a really rural location so they get TNR some go back out but some end up with major surgery and then stay in and they all adapt and seem to love the digs, the food, the dogs but not so much the humans!
We still do rescue work on the side and do works for our old CP and we will hopefully be helping Sarah at Sunny Harbour with long term fostering
We are lucky we have the space to do this and a mortgage to boot but hey ho the Clan are happy and healthy and we love Beans on toast!
Minmin is a Chocolate Seale Point and is like a frothy cappacino and sadly is the "blonde" of our family everyday is a surprise to her and she uses the bidet for her ablutions which is myuch better thanwhen we first got her then she used anywhere, she is also indoor/outdoor and is totally unpickupable outside we think from living with the ferals who see strangers and run so she does to
i will post a photo of her unless there is one in the our cats stories - serach for the clan cats and you can see 30+ ish of them also the Purrs calendar is a wonderful place to see folks furkids and is excellent value for money - it covers 2 years and can be got in the shop!!!! :wow:
Some of our 43 shred you first so we have some who give us cuddles and purrs to ;D
-

Hi Mootah - I lost a 5 month old to FIP - it's a horrible disease and the sooner a cure is found the better
