We have just been given permission to have an adult cat by our landlords. As we live in a second floor flat there won't be any outdoor access, and our local shelter doesn't often have indoor cats. We have no transport, so we are wondering if anyone knows any other cats waiting for homes near us that may be suitable.
We have a large, sunny home, no children, no other pets, and will be around a lot of the time (my husband is a student and is just starting his summer holidays, and even when he starts back in October I only work 5 mins from home and come back every lunchtime). Ideally we would like a cat under 10, though this isn't 100% set.
We haven't been homechecked but this is not a problem. We rarely have guests so it should be a fairly peaceful home.
Thankyou!

Hi Ebany and :welcome: to Purrs,
Have you had a look at the list of resuces in your area on the catchat pages: http://www.catchat.org/adoption/cambs.html
Have you seen this fella: http://www.catchat.org/rushden/cgibin/prview.cgi?id=2008051901
Good luck in your search and fingers crossed it won't be long before you have a furry to make your home complete ;)

:welcome: to Purrs and well done you for opening your heart and home to a needy cat.
Have a look at some of the needy cats here and on CatChat www.catchat.org - even if they were a little way away, provided a homecheck went well, there are ways and means of uniting the right people with the right cat :)

All our cats at www.ukrcc.co.uk are indoor cats so take a look and fill in online forum if your interested in any ;D

Hi Ebany,
Would you consider fostering a couple of gorgeous cats?! I need to find a loving home for them whilst I find a home for all of us. We are in Huntingdon - I have posted a post on the "looking for home" section. Mum and son, terribly well behaved and clean. Have been happy house cats and narrowboat cats (so can swim ;)
If you would consider it please do let me know....
Best wishes
Sarah

Hi,
I'm afraid we have found ourselves a little furry friend a while back, the blue cross shelter not far from us was open to the idea of an indoor home and so we got to take home Jess, who is currently very snug behind me in her radiator bed. :Luv2:
On days like these I think she is lucky being kept indoors!
Though, even had we not found anything, we are only allowed one cat, so we couldn't have helped. I wish we could though, one reason I want to buy a house of my own is so I can fill it with cats! (though OH wants dogs, and guinea pigs, and hedgehogs...not sure where we will put everyone)

 woo hoo Congratulations Ebany. Jess is beautiful :Luv2: :Luv2: ... as she is a Tortie ... you'll never have a dull moment :naughty: (1 tortie is like having 2 "non-tortie" cats  ).

I love a happy ending
