She's one lucky lady - and its great that you're a worried fur-mummy to Jasmine.  The kits look absolutely goregous and she looks so proud of her babies.  Hope it wasn't too much of a cost for you

Do you have any names for the babies yet?

Well....I had another feel of her and was sure there was another baby, so I rang the vet and he said to bring her straight over. He said there was definitely one, maybe more in there and she'd need an emergency caesarean. But they needed the money for it today, so I had to go looking for it asap. Got it and took her back. Thank God, within the hour they rang me and said all went well. One more baby and the vet said he was really shocked it was alive.

She's home now. I'd had to keep the first 3 babies here and put a hot water bottle in with them. She's settled back down in with them now and is licking them all. So I hope that means she's taken them all ok. The new baby is tortoiseshell, and was born nine hours after the one before. I also asked the vet to sex them and there are 2 boys and 2 girls.

He said to keep away from her as much as possible tonight, and if she's not eaten by lunchtime tomorrow to give him a ring.
The poor little lady's been through so much today, and it's me shaking like a leaf still. I can't cope with these things on half an hour's sleep.

Here's a little pic pre-new baby.

One is grey, one grey and white, and one totally identical to Jasmine. Even down to the three or four white hairs she has on the top of her head!

Awh bless!  :Luv: I'm glad the little lady has had her kits. :Luv:

And a Blue!!! I loooooooooooooove blue cats! I bet all her kits are beautiful though.  :Flowers:

Well done Jasmine and Karen.  I don't suppose we will hear much from Karen for the next few days now ... she'll probably be up in the bedroom baby sitting (I know I would be )

Thank you  ;D

I am soooo proud! She just got on with it. But she kept moving her head at me as if to say 'come here' and wanted her head rubbed and talked to. I'm tickled that she wanted me there.

Aww, no-one said 3? Whoever said the bed was right about that though. She moved out of the wardrobe, up here and in seconds the first one was out.

One is grey, one grey and white, and one totally identical to Jasmine. Even down to the three or four white hairs she has on the top of her head!
She's exhausted now. I went downstairs and she had picked the first one up and taken it to the wardrobe, and was in the process of taking the second when I came back in. I put food out for her, she took one bite and rushed back over to see them. She's a great little mammy and I'm proud as punch  :Luv:

She's fast asleep, purring like a motorbike, with all 3 suckling on her. I've just read that she could have another kitten up to 36 hours later, even with sleeping and nursing in between  :-:

No signs of contractions. She, and the babas are asleep. I just touched her belly before, maybe it's not another kitten then.

IS she showing signs of contractions etc? If not, she should be fine. A lot of people on my other forum have thought they have felt an extra kitten but there hasn't been one. Do watch how you feel for it though.

Ok. Still 3 but I'm sure there's another still there. It's been about almost an hour since her last one was born. How long should I leave it before getting a vet? There was about 45 minutes between the 2nd and 3rd.

She's a mammy 3 times over so far. I'm sure I can feel another one in there. The first 2 came out very quickly but the third took a long time. Two black and white, and one that's either pure black or grey.

I think it's happening. She woke me an hour ago trying to open the drawer under my bed. I kept her out and she went into the nest I made in the bottom of the wardrobe. I've noticed some spots of mucus on the towel in there. She's licking herself like crazy now so it must be time.

Oh bless her  :Luv:

Just googled for pregnant cat images to compare (I really want to win the prize!) and found this one....

http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://mysite.verizon.net/vze1r04a/Images/DVC30.JPG&imgrefurl=http://mysite.verizon.net/vze1r04a/CATS.html&h=264&w=352&sz=19&hl=en&start=13&tbnid=XDj121vVQYywuM:&tbnh=90&tbnw=120&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dpregnant%2Bcat%26gbv%3D2%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG

She is actually the spit of Jasmine, she looks bigger to me and had 5 babies so I'm going to re-assess my original vote and go for 5 by 2pm on Wednesday.

Could the prize be that the closest person gets the honour of naming Jasmine's first born?

I vote 6 and by  Wednesday at 2pm  ;D
