From the national pet register:
Black and white female cat with black splodge on her nose. Very affectionate, elderly, blind, partially deaf and has renal failure. Original parents desperately sought as she cannot be re-homed. Contact 01782 393208

You know I think it would also be helpfull if the lost/found cat were to be put in the paper as maybe the owner would see this, maybe they don't look on missing pet registers? Is there anyway to do that? The cats owners could also be elderly.

Good suggestion CC ... would it be possible for you to give the number and call and maybe suggest it to the finder as I am just about to go out and won't be back til much later.

Sam who is it that has the cat now? I dont want to be phoning if its a rescue, maybe they would already done that??

Sorry CC I have no idea .... I copied the ad exactly as it was on the national pet register.
