Title: just saying hello!
Post by: psychopunk on October 16, 2008, 14:46:04 PM
Hi! My name is Linda, I'm new here, but have already spent 5 hours reading all the threads.

In the pictures that's Pipsqueak, shorter Pips. He's a 13 week old kitten who came to live with me and my husband month ago. Also we have a permanent guest staying - Cuscus. He's a huge black&white tom who was left behind by neighbours. Just few months ago no cats - now 2!! I feel very lucky to have them. Also it's a big responsibility and I want to do everything right.

See You around and thanks for keeping such a great site running!   :)

L.

 :welcome: to Purrs Linda  :)

I have to say, Pipsqueak is an absolute stunner - he's making me go all kitten broody  :Luv2:

I normally warn any newbies that Purrs can be a teensy bit addictive but looks like it's too late in your case  :evillaugh:

Hey thanks for the warm welcome!  :thanks:

To be honest in the beginning I was sceptical of the cat forums.  :shify: Only looked it up, cos I had many unanswered questions. My mum's also a great cat person, she spends a lot of time surfing and has many cat friends on the internet. I always thought it was funny, but now having my own cats I can totally see the sense. My hubby is still laughing a bit, but I will get it out of him  :evillaugh:

I'd never been on a forum at all before I joined CC which was how Purrs was born... look at me now almost 8000 posts - I'm well and truly hooked  :evillaugh:

Not only is Purrs full of good advice and good fun, it's also full of really good people and we raised over £4000 in the last financial year which went to independant cat rescues  :)  That's how I justify my little addiction, it's all in a good cause  :)

That's Cuscus! We don't know his exact age (we think 2-3 yo), all we know that some people 3 houses away left him behind.  :censored:  We noticed him looking through the kitchen windows and loudly meowing. Since then he has his own cat flap, bed to sleep and all our attention&love. Only problem is Cuscus gets annoyed  >:( with the kitten play biting him all the time (who wouldn't? ) and once in a while he nips Pips (the kitten) back a bit too hard  :scared:. But I think they both have to get it out of their systems and in the end it's gonna be fine.

:welcome: to Purrs.  Cuscus is mighty handsome too.

I would have gurgled like a dirty drain if you'd told me three years ago that I'd be frequenting an Internet forum but look, here I am too  ;)  Purrs is a fantastic source of advice and support as well as raising thousands of pounds for independent rescues.

Hiya and  :welcome: to Purrs  ;D

This place really is fab, its the only forum (after the original CC) I've ever been involved in regularly (been on a few car forums and it all gets rather childish sometimes), but place genuinly has loads of good information, advice, and more importantly fab people, some of whom I've had the pleasure of meeting over the years  :Luv:

 :welcome: Linda

Pips and Cuscus are just gorgeous   :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:

Hope you stick around and we get lots of photos of Pips and Cuscus as they become best mates.

I would have gurgled like a dirty drain if you'd told me three years ago that I'd be frequenting an Internet forum

Well put Christine  :evillaugh:.
