As some of you may know I recently lost my beloved Tiggy after almost 19 years together, her brother died several years ago so she was an only cat. I was and am devastated at her loss but I will love her Forever and Always. I still have a lot of love to give and cannot imagine being without a cat in my life for much longer....
So, meet Kali and Riley :)

Kali is a female grey tabby on the left and Riley is a grey and white boy on the right.
They are only babies at the moment and were 1 week old when this pic was taken, they will be coming to live the life of luxury with me at the end of April when I get back from two weeks holiday. I'm so excited, I've taken another weeks annual leave to settle them in. I've been holding off saying anything as I'm terrified that something will happen to them so was trying to keep this to myself - I've obviously failed!
I will have lots of kitten questions to ask as the last time I had kittens was almost 19 years ago and I was 10 years old myself!

Helen so pleased for you. Personally, I think you made a GREAT decision to make these two part of your family, but only you would know when the time was right.
So very happy about this news, they are GORGEOUS!!!
A well deserved holiday and then a comfy home with mum when she gets back.

I think Tiggy will be quietly pleased. Maybe I'm barmy, but I think she would want you to be happy. She knows you miss her like mad, and will love her always. Giving a home to Kali and Riley won't diminish that in any way. Bless you!

Aww, they are gorgeous Helen - I am surprised you are going for kittens though, and really dont envy you having 2 of them running about, but they are gorgeous, I do have a soft spot for grays. Can't wait to see and hear more of them when you get them home.

I remember when Paddy and Flynn were kittens. I frequently came home to find my curtains hanging askew at the windows and the neighbours in stitches having watched their antics. Hard work, but so rewarding.

Faaaaantastic! Always scared of suggesting newbies to anyone who's furbabe has gone but the distraction factor works for me. They are really beautiful kittens. I vaguely recall the antics of my 2 kittens way back in 1977 and they were manic! Speciality was climbing curtains and hanging there scaring us to death. Also love it when they are asleep and so completely out of it. Really jealous and sooo delighted for you Helen.

Congrats on your two new bundles of fluff, they look absolutely gorgeous!!! You'll have sooooo much fun with them, esp when you're sitting there watching them chase each other and amuse themselves. My two girls still do it now and they're going to be 1 2wks today - can't believe where the time has gone since I got them in June!! The best is when they play and play and play then climb onto your lap and fall fast asleep as they're sooooo tired. Although them waking up during the night isn't the best but they soon grow out of it (well maybe when they're about 6mths) :rofl: if you're lucky

Although them waking up during the night isn't the best but they soon grow out of it (well maybe when they're about 6mths)
Care to come and tell Mosi he's supposed to have grown out of it? ;D He's 15 months and I'm still waiting!

haha sorry for that - mine still don't "go through the night" all the time (who said having kittens is easier than babies), they'll do it for 7/10 days then suddenly will decide that they want a cuddle in the middle of the night............a loving as it is I don't really appreciate it at 3am!!! Although Cruz is big-boned enough that you can put your arm over her and cuddle her right into you

Trouble with Mosi is that no matter how much I tire him out he won't sleep for more than about 5 hours at a time. Then he's up and bouncing around and wanting me to be up with him. If it's more than an hour before my alarm is due to go off I put them both out the back (in the living room/kitchen) and he is fairly quiet when he's out there but if I put him out there all night I think he'd start crying at the door after his first 5 hours so it wouldn't really be worth doing that.

Ooh Helen they are gorgeous. I was so sorry to hear about Tiggy but I'm sure she will be very pleased that her mum is giving a fab home to these two youngsters. My little boy Hobbes is 5 months old today and has been with me nearly 3 months now and I can honestly say it's the best thing I've ever done getting him. Everyone warned me about getting a kitten and I was really worried that I wouldn't cope as I'd never had a kitten before but he is so funny and watching him grow and learn new things every day is great, his face is a picture sometimes when he's trying to work things out. My curtains will never be the same again mind you and I can't move for toys but it's so worth it! Can't wait to hear all about them when they arrive and Hobbes says if they need any tips on how to keep their Meowmy in order or on jumping around, climbing curtains and generally being silly he's happy to advise :rofl:

I read you story about Tiggy and i was in tears. It really shone through how much you loved each other.
I can understand how you feel about not having cats around the house. I must say that Kali and Riley are totally adorable :Luv: :Luv: Tiggy will be fully approving of you opening you heart to these little babies

Well, I met them when they were about 10 days old, they are 3 weeks old now. If I've worked out their birthday correctly I think they were born on the same day Tiggy crossed to the Bridge so sort of fate really. I'm on holiday the last two weeks of April so although they will be ready to come home with me at 8 weeks they will have to wait until I'm back in the country and they'll be 9 weeks by then - 30th April - put that date in your diary! I'm going to see them again before I go on holiday so will post pics on here when I get them :)

on my way home from walking my dog i saw a tiny little baby kitten in someones window jet black it was
of course i stopped and said hi (i was there for about 20mins stroking someones window :rofl:)
it was meowing everytime i spoke to it
he/she was sooooooooooo cute and very beautiful

Went to see Kali and Riley again before I go on holiday. When I first saw them I thought how big they had got but by the end was thinking how tiny they were :Luv:

Kali's pic didn't come out too well, she is quite a dark grey with pale grey paws and face, Riley has developed stripy bits in his grey that I didn't notice when I first saw them :)

i love grey cats, in the vets when i took jasper to be 'done' there was a guy with a white kitten and a grey one - i wanted to nick them both to make up the set of black grey and white!!! ;D

They are lovely - those grey stripes may not stay, it just depends, they could end up being very faint ghost markings. Gorgeous no matter what though.
