So pleased Teoh has settled  he really is stunning and the pics are wonderful.

With regards to the water thing bengals love water apparently ... i  know Linda used to have a small kiddies paddling pool set up for her boys to play in and they loved getting "wet wet wet"

I think you should definitely get Deborah to come and join us ... we'll be gentle with her.

Yep, totally understand the cooker comment....

He seemed too small to get on the worktops (whilst trying) but a kitchen glove got left on the cooker door which gave him a grippy route up there. We thought it would be nice to have some water and biscuits downstairs in the kitchen, but he has pretty much ignored them so he is now banned from the kitchen unless we are about.

He does like sitting in the kitchen sink and playing with the water though  :shy:

We are feeding him the same food he was fed before we got him....it's cat food not kitten stuff and whilst i make a joke about his flatulence it's not too bad  :Luv:

Do you all think feeding him adult cat food is a good idea? he seems very happy with it...

I'm going to 'force' Deborah to sign up on here....she is very shy, but Teoh is her cat so please treat her gently as she is a little worried having never lived with a cat before and a bit internet shy too boot

 :thanks:

Yay glad we finally got to see lots of pics, i was in heaven..He is soooooooo gorgeous and im very chuffed he has settled in well for you guys.  You look like you were well prepared before his arrival though, lots of lovely bengly toys.

keep the pics coming, we luv em  :Luv

Oh by the way,you might already know but bengals are apparently prone to a more sensitive digestive tract so Re the wind etc it might be a good idea to PM Linda Bengalbabe to discuss that type of issues with her, she has 5 so far LOL (and counting) Might be worth it as 3 of hers got very poorly with digestive probs earlier this year and were on drips etc so i'm sure she'd be more than happy to share valuble info with you.

Lol....ive been away all week sorting out the house....was a bit worried he would have forgotten me, but he seems ok this evening  :)

So here you go...one week in...he is still brilliant, still hasn't missed his tray....still a bit vocal and still farts quite a bit after beef. He loves salmon most  :Luv:

Naughty.......

Guilty afterwards lol

Post grooming...he lurves that...

Look at the size of his paws

Wakey wakey....

Oh no...back to sleep then lol

Talk about cats that like climbing....he spends most of his time on here looking down on us  :D

As I type.....one foot to my left....

Well,

He's mental thats for sure...like a usual kitten but more agressive (compared to the two moggies ive had in the past) We accept that given he quite large for his age.

He's definitely come out of his shell...the first couple of days he was confident and loving....and relatively 'quiet' in terms of shouting. He's now pretty vocal (we dont mind that, we were expecting it) but still very loving and attentive when we are around.

It's been a few years since I've been in contact with a kitten, but he is already showing a penchant for climbing anything and everything...we got an 'activity centre' for him before he arrived, and he has already got to the top of that....even though the stages are a good 6" taller than he is

On the plus side......he is only really chatty when he is up and active, he seems to look at things and 'chat'...just to see if he gets a reaction...he hasn't missed the litter tray once in six days, and is happy(ish) being held and is VERY happy being groomed....

So all in all we are very happy  :)

:Luv: :Luv: :Luv: Jules you have a beautiful home and a new beautiful addition to share it with you both.

Wonderful pics.  Make the most of the "sleepy times"  once he grows out of the baby stage and doesn't need as much sleep he will have you running ragged as he gets into all sorts of mischief!

Ok oK   :)

We got him yesterday...as expected he was a little distressed, and sat under our bed for a few hours.

Yesterday evening he came downstairs, had a nice meal and befriended Deborah  :Luv: he then had a wander around checking out his new 'home'

Then licked Debs clean and went to sleep...

Such a beautiful animal....

His temperment is absolutely spot on.....he's sat beside me purring now as I type...in fact he's either sleeping or purring  :Luv:

He seems very affectionate.....either grooms himself of one of us, and so far he hasn't missed the litter tray once  :)

He is stunning, I bet you are getting very excited now! Don't worry about missing out on anything, my babe was 10 weeks when I got him and believe me he is still very much a kitten now even though he is nearly 7 months. He is still so much fun and is still learning new things everyday which is great to watch. Helen is absolutely right he will be in to everything, even places you think you have blocked off and watch out for your curtains

I love the shape of his markings around his shoulder blades/top of front legs.

His 'tummy' marking are to be believed as well...excuse the 'choke hold' pic...the breeder wanted a pic of them so Debs held his neck back....

dont be dissapointed that you have missed out..i know how you feel but leaving them for this long is what all responsible breeders would and have to do.  He has gained so much more being with his mother and siblings for a longer period of time which will stand him in better form not only health wise but esp in behavioural aspects so you're likely to have a far happier well adjusted kitten.

anyway...13 wks out of 16 years or so aint to bad  ;)

How refreshing it is to hear from you actually buying a pedigree kitten from what sounds like a reputable breeder as you have had to wait and i presume he'll be vaccinated.

Yes....

We got him from Mel and Ron at Redgrave Bengals....I intended to look around, but when we saw him it was pretty much 'love at first sight'....he stood out because of his much darker (and impressive) markings.

http://www.redgravebengals.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/1.html

I've never seen such character in a kitten (im not too familiar with the bengal breed) he seems very mature for his age (weeks)......whilst being curious like a kitten should be, he sort of 'investigates' things as opposed to headlong charging in  :Luv:

I guess time will tell when he moves in.

As for getting him later.....I can't help but be a little disappointed if im totally honest. Ive deliberately not visited him since we paid for him (bought is a horrible word when referring to a new family member) and I feel ive missed out on his development into a cat  :(    I didnt visit him beacuase I know I would get frustrated because of not being able to take him home because of this.....

Anyway, this is him.....taken by the breeder. Such great markings, beautiful temperament.....and the biggest/heaviest of the litter  8)

Will get some more pics up when he 'arrives' home

He's a stunner  :Luv: :Luv:  Have you 'cat-proofed' your home yet?  I'm proud Mum to two new kittens and believe me, if there is somewhere you don't want them to go they will.  I spent ages blocking up gaps by the fridge etc etc I thought I was cat proofed but how wrong was I !!!

I've had to take the connecting cords out of the blinds, tie the curtains up, hide the washing while it's drying on the airer - you need eyes in the back of your head  :evillaugh:

Can't wait to see more pics of him when he's home  :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:

september, well you have loads of time to start finding out and viewing a good cattery.  Word of mouth is often a good way to find one so if you have cat friends ask around, beware though they can book up pretty fast so look into it sooner rather than later.  Unless of course you have someone in the family that could come and cat sit for you ?  I'd say for a kitten and 10 days you need fairly decent arrangements ie for a day or two its fine to get someone to swing in past for a wee while too feed/clean trays/pet & play  etc but 10days is really too long for that.  Maybe your breeder knows of a reputable cattery.

You did say it was your partners cat didnt you..funny you are the one worrying

Now you see i have a hubby who thinks my red boy is merely "ok" but last night he carried him through to the kitchen to fetch something as cody was on his lap and hubby didnt want to wake him up

We got his papers and paid for him on sunday....he comes 'home' to our house on the 20th of May (he's only 7 weeks at the mo)

we also have a 10 day holiday booked in september and I'm already worried about what to do with him  :scared:
