I doubt that.. he will eat ANYTHING ! whenever I have dinner he is all over me trying to get at anything he can !

He adores quavers with a passion.. he has always got his nose in the empty bags !

Is there a quick way for the vet to worm Leo while he is at vets ? he gave me some powder to mix with is food but I dont like doing it really is there other ways to worm ?

 :Luv:

I don't think adult food will cause any problems, esp if he's still having some kitten dry.  Kitten food has a slightly different nutrient profile - more calories, more protein ? and fat than adult, but depending on the brand there sometimes isn't very much difference.  I always go by the fact that animals in the wild don't have special kitten food and grow up just fine.  A kitten really just needs some extra calories for growth (prior to neutering especially) but it won't hurt to give him some adult pouches now.

Mosi is a slow maturing breed (not as much as maine coons, but somalis aren't fully grown til about 3) and I put him on adult food before he was 1.

I dont know if its any different for slow maturing breeds but some adult food isnt gonna hurt him but you may find he gets fussy quicker

I think there was a thread on this not long ago and the consensus was that kitten food ceases to be as important once the cat is neutered .... Bella never had kitten food as it made her poorly, and she hasn't suffered.

I mean what are the main resons that they cant switch ? Leo is HUGE now for his age.. vet said he still has some of his baby teeth.. but really comparing the kitten pouched with the adult pouches Marly has there is no difference in the size of the chunks of meat.. if its a nutrician thing then he has lots of good stuff in the Dry food he has out all the time.. :tired:

I was in Tesco yesterday & saw some lovely scrummy expensive food for cats (which I bought)... Leo is nearly 6 months now... Can I give him the adult pouches now ?  There is so much more to choose from !
