I started off on about 10 meals aday

It baffles me how vets think that feeding dry only will help - just feed the wet in smaller portions, as MM says, they are more likely to be sick off dry food anyway. I have had a lot of fosters who have come as strays and eaten so quickly they have been sick, I always give them half a pouch at a time with at least half an hour between pouches, and raising food can also help.

Yeah the both eat like it is their last mean, they havn't gotten used to a regular food supply yet!

If you feed her wet in smaller portions then you wouldnt have to cut it out, if she starts eating more dry it will swell up and make her vomit anyway

Milly was like that when she first arrived, always ate like it was her last meal!

Glad it was'nt anything serious...Yes its amazing what a vet visit can do....I also think the peace of mind you get yourself is well worth it!

Been today. Ava has a temp so probably an infection. Got antibiotics and something else. Evie, no temp, but could be the same way, antibiotics given as a precausion. Amazing what a visit to the vets can do, both have now eaten. Vet suggested sticking to a dry diet for a while and slowly reintroduce wet, as Evie seems to bolt her food down causing her to be sick. so smaller portions from now on too

She is a tiny tiny bit perkier and has eaten a couple of mouthfuls, but now Evie is going the same way, off food, although has eated considerably more than Ava. Spoke to the vets who said it is not an urgent case and to take them tomorrow.

A heat pad may not help if she is feeling poorly....she may be feeling hot already!

Going to phone them first thing, my vets are open on Sunday Morning. she is just curled up sleeping, I have tried tempting her, she is having none of it. Do you think a heat pad minght help. Never had a sick cat

No new changes.

Her teeth seem fine, they were only at the vets 3-4 weeks ago, but a lot can happen. No drinking either.

Luckily my vets opens on a Sunday Morning.

Not noticed toileting, althought tray looks as full as normal.

Have you checked her mouth isn't sore? Is she drinking?

If it carries on I would go see the vet.

She has been here 5-6 weeks, so not exactly new. I would hav thought we would be over the not eating.

Just as it says, is this normal behaviour?

Ava has kept out of Evie's way for the past 24 hours, and just sat on her shelf and not eaten much for the past 18. Not sure if this is normal or not.
