I got called out last week to pick up this poor little cat he was called Dudley by the lady who had been feeding him for weeks, it was in such a bad state I took it striate to the vets its coat was so matted its was the worst I have seen for a long time. the vet had to cut os both sides of his fur, he also told me his teeth were in a really bad way and he not could not eat and to bring him back in three days to have his teeth out and finish cutting the remaining lumps out of his Fur, Now two days latter when I went to feed them he could not stand up when he tried he just fell over, I rushed him to the vets who told me the little cat has had a Minnie stroke and he would properly get over it, But he got a lot worse Saturday and sunday so I thought its time to take the poor little lad to have him PTS :( when I got up this morning I got a Basket and went to the pen to get him he seemed to be getting on his feet so i made a quick change of mind, I have kept a eye on him and he can now stand up but still very wobble has anyone had the same problem with a cat I would like to know if i am the doing the Right thing for the little lad he is 16 + years old but I would let him have his last few years living indoors with me

Ron you have a very big heart and I'm sure under your care he will live the life of riley on the inside with you
-
Sorry Ron. Can't help with any experience but trust you to make the right choice for him. Such a beautiful lad :'(
-
Poor little fellow, no experience thnat can help , sorry
I tyhink all you can do is go on your own feelings and the vets advice
-
Sorry No experience here Ron but he seems to have plenty of fight and he will definitely get the TLC he needs with you. As long as he isn't suffering, I don't see why he shouldn't be given a chance
Poor little thing :( - he stands a good chance of having a nice summer and hopefully more
-
Awww Ron, I think all you can do is see how he is over the next day or two and take it from there. Bless you for caring and being there for him and please give gorgeous Dudley a hug from me
hoping that things do turn out well for him, fingers crossed xx

I would get bloods done in case he has something like kidney issues that are causing low potassium, which can cause weak back legs, and bad teeth can affect their kidneys. If it is that, it can be easily treated. Good luck

What a beautiful boy :Luv2:
Would your vet have in him for fluids and feeding up, he needs to build his strength up. I wouldnt do bloods yet as everything would be elevated in his condition poor chap :(

He seems to be getting stronger every day he is eating for england loves his chicken ;D he seems a lot brighter today but the vet said not to bring him back until nixed week as he is eating so well and he loves to be made a fuss of as soon as he sees one of us he starts purring and does not stop till he has been made a fuss of and loves tummy tickles but still a bit wobbly on his legs but i think he is getting there bless him.
