Our Princess Noni B seems to have a constipation problem shown up in an x ray yesterday. She had an enema which is not pleasant. She is certainly overweight and from googling. it seems that a diet supplemented with fibre might help.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience to offer please? In addition the poor lamb had 6 teef extracted yesterday. Devil of a day for her and no mistake :( I am thinking dry food might be a good option for increasing her fibre as she could swallow it whole. She is however a small cat so she wouldn't cope with large peices of kibble.
Any experience of this stuff?

I'm sure mark used a high fibre diet for lazurus which worked well

Slippery elm bark can be used not sure of the doses though helps keep the regular so to speak

this is what Mark B said
RC constipation food is amazing. http://www.nutrecare.co.uk/Product-3997/Royal-Canin-Veterinary-Diet-for-cats/Royal-Canin-Feline-Fibre-Response-Cat-Food a small amount of this every day along with regular wet food is enough. Lazarus has moderate megacolon and it works for him, so I am sure it will work for constipation.

That is so kind of you to ask Mark Dawn. :thanks: I've just ordered the smaller bag and will see if she likes it. She is a bit of gannet so is sure to like it :)
:thanks: too Liz. I've just printed off an advice sheet re SEB and will see if our vet prefers any particular make.
