There are rules, yes of course there are rules!
You must only use words, no pictures or links or reference to any pictures or links posted anywhere . You must be polite and not be rude about any other cats. You may only canvass on the canvassing thread, not by pm, chat, email etc etc. Any posts that break the rules will be immediately deleted by one of the amazing Cat Show mods and any other Purrs moderator or Admin.

He is appearing for the first time in a cat show and has a wicked little gleam in his eyes and thinks it would be quite nice to be famous as long as he doesnt have to meeet any people 8)

Please vote for us, Lucas' confidence is really low at the moment - you see he was told he was a girl for the first few weeks of his life and everyone was saying how pretty, delicate and feminine he was. Then he went to the vet man and the vet man squeezed his bits and said he was definitely a boy. It's hit him really hard and he's just so confused :Crazy: If you think Lucas is a handsome young man then please vote for him, it will do his confidence the world of good. As for me, I know I'm very handsome but it would be nice to have it confirmed ;D

I spent six months in a rescue being overlooked because I am not only black and white, I also had a rather pointed little face, so people thought I was funny-looking. No-one wanted me :'(
I have filled out now but it would be lovely if you could find it in your heart to vote for me after all those hurtful rejections from people who passed me by :scared:.
I am happy now, though, and I especially love ear tugs, cuddles and tuna :shy: My bestest hobby is helping to make the bed!

Since i adopted mummy and daddy nearly a year ago we have all got along swimmingly (as long as they spoil me rotten) and my lonely days without a proper home seem a long long time ago.

Oh Hello, This is Kiki here, my big sister Nina told me i need to tell all you lovely people about myself.
I've had a topsy-turvy couple of years, i was only a baby myself when i had some babies of my own and i was found in a plant pot along with my babies and taken to Freshfields Rescue Centre. Well once my babies had been rehomed i was looking for a home myself, and luckily my mummy and dady came to see me and i talked to them and cuddled them until they took me home.
I was very frightened at first, but mummy says i'm much more braverer than i used to be, and i love living in my forever home, getting lots of cuddles and playing with my adopted big sister Nina.
If you voted for me i would feel even more braverer and like i belong to a proper family now!

Me (Zephyr) and my sister (Foxy) would really appreciate it if you could spare a vote or 10 ;) for us in the catshow. I'm the slinky moody one of the family and Foxy is the dumpy cuddly one ;). Although we look similar we have very different personalities so we are in different categories in the cat show so be sure to check us out and cast your votes for the Abyssinian Superstars ;)
I would also like to mention our adopted sister, Rossi .... she's not a pure breed like me and Foxy but don't let that put you off her ... she's ace :Luv:. I don't really get on with other cats but when meowmy brought the little Tortie tearaway into our house I realised she was a bit special .... she was feisty, funny and enjoyed playing with me and she also kept meowmy very happy by being a perfect little "lap cat" something me and Foxy don't do.
So that's us Zephyr, Foxy and Rossi the bestest furries around.

Erm.. hello...
I was rudely woken up and told I needed to (whisper) canvass myself to you lovely people. Well, I must say to be woken to sell myself this way is a little well... demeaning.. but being a pretty black and white princess I suppose I could see my way to advising everyone why I should get your votes. :donate:
I am classed as a timid cat. That's what the rescue said anyway. I've lived with my mummy for a year now and mummy says I've become a lovely purr head. But just with mummy and daddy. And sometimes Pippas mummy (my Aunty). I don't trust easily, as certain fingers on Purrs may know. :ooops:
I have to say that I control teach my mummy well. When I want to play, I let her know, when I want food, I let her know. When I want sleep (and that's a fair share of the day), I let her know. So you see, I do usually get my way.
I still cower a bit (don't tell anyone!) whenever I see feet too close to me (I have a bad past but I can't talk about it). When mummy worries a bit, I turn my pretty green eyes on her and blink just to let her know that she's the one I love (I really do you know - daddy is just a convenient treat giver)!
So vote for me LEXY because I can wear a crown well give love to all who know me!!

When the show opens in 4 days on 1st June, you will be able to see the thread where all the entries are in the cat show section. In each class there will be a poll at the top with each cats name that has entered that class and you have 3 votes in each class :)
There are around 60 classes to vote on so it gonna be buzy for the class voting which is from 1st June to 8th June when voting for the classes closes. The top cat in each class will be announced on 10th June and will then go into the group stage. You wont be able to see the vote results till i annouce them on the 10th June :evillaugh: :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

Dinah would very much like you to vote for her please, as it's raining and we have failed to make it stop for her, so she needs cheering up.
She is a furry, lovely 18 years young, who likes nothing more than to give you a loving, furry headbutt and to cuddle up with you in bed. Sometimes she forgets she is an older, dignified lady, and dribbles when she's being brushed.
She is an ace fence - climber :Crazy: and still enjoys a mad 5 minutes with her catnip mouse or ping pong ball. She came to live with us a few months ago when her mummy went into hospital, but she's been very brave and adapted very well to all the change so we think she deserves some votes :Luv:

Hiya its me Cody here, the purrs resident supermodel...well so my mummys says.
I'm a very handsome, gorgeous chap :Luv:... I am also very modest and totally truthful :heeee heeee:
I am whats known as a "pedigree" cat. Now I'm not sure what that means really :Dont know: but I can tell you I'm a Curly Wurly Wavy haired boy, My curls and waves are rather cute and dashing even if i do say so myself..Lots of other peeps say so too so i must be right ;)
Apparently my official title says that i am a "Shorthaired Red & white tabby Laperm" :blow kiss: but personally between you and me I'm happy for you just to call Me Cody
Now i tend to get into trouble a fair bit.. :what: I think i have just got a grumpy mummy but she seems to think i am a mischievous monkey (doesn't she know they swing through trees, Ive never been in a tree in my life :stupid: ). I dont really know if we should be talking about all those things so me just gonna skip that bit and go onto my GOOD POINTS...
I am loads of fun and i make my family laugh every day :OK:..I like abit of role play / dress up games and my favorite outfit is a lovely cerise pink ballerina tutu..It coordinates with my colouring very well i think and really makes my ears cheek bones stand out :evillaugh:
I love my human playmates connor and Anya..well Anya gets on my nerves abit but she's just little so i understand why she gets over excited. Connor though is my bestest bestest friend in the whole world...My favorite times of the day is first thing in the morning when he gets out of bed and in the afternoon when he gets home from his school, i get so excited and give him lots of frantic cuddles and kisses :cuddle:
We play together all the time and having the human playmates is the best life ever coz not only do i have lots of my own toys but i play with their toys all this time aswell..I love the toy farm coz i get to be "CODZILLA" and eat all the farmyard animals or sometimes we build blocks and make towers..OK so THEY build and i knock them over :evillaugh:
My other favorite game is to be pushed around really fast in Anya's dollys buggy or pram, i really love this game and i get to go really really fast...Of course the pram is pink aswell which just couldn't be more purrfect for a stylish curly such as myself ;) :Luv:
Once they go to bed my mummy has a really good play with me, we have great fun and mummy and daddy are always laughing because I'm so funny. I also like nothing better than to curl up on mummy or daddy's legs and they sit and pet me.
Thats why mummy says I'm the purrfect feline as i am very playful, mischievous, entertaining, interactive and also loving and i am a good lapcat. She is a little biased though as she calls me her "little baby" and daddy says I'm her blue orange eyed boy :evillaugh: My Mummy says its my great big smile that lets me away with murder :oolala:
Ive had my fair share of fame too...i was picked out of lots of other curly's as the "laperm of the year" and also our Tan has a coffee mug with my pic on it but er..well thats abit :-[

I have to say that at the beginning of the show, once mummy pleaded asked me to ask you lovely people to vote for me I was a little resentful. After all it took me away from what I do best..sleeping.
However, you lovelies voted me winner in TWO classes (the fact that I won Grumpy Cat does NOT amuse me - mummy's finger is still paying for enteirng me in that one)!

Hi. It's Freddie here. Mom said I should try for a few votes to see me thru to next round altho not holding out much hope due to extremely stiff competition. Here goes.
I've had a bit of a tough time of it recently as Mom and Dad sent me and Billy away from home for 4 nights (real scary) and, since we got back, the house has been in a terrible mess with lots of men making lots of noise mainly in the bathroom. This means we only have access to the lounge and garden during the day and the dust makes us sneeze. Also Billy and Tom are picking on me cos they didn't get thru to 2nd round. They say peeps only voted for me thru pity as I not black and shiny like them and I only have 2 teeth. All in all, I'm a bit low at the moment and could do with cheering up. So please

Don't feel geeky by using an internet cafe in Greece, I logged on from Cambodia (where the majority of people live on less than $2 (£1) a day and they have internet cafes :Crazy:) to tell everyone that Tiggy had finally sent me a rainbow :) I just couldn't wait til I got home to share it :)

It's Garcia here - yes that handsome black and white boy who looks stunning in the tree. THANK YOU to all those that kindly voted for me (but I must say that you all have very good taste and it wasn't a waste of a vote!!!).
I am writing to ask you to vote for me in the next round PLEASE. My mum is disappearing off to Turkey on Thursday and putting me in a cattery with my brothers and so I really do need cheering up. She tells me it will be like a holiday for me too, I guess I won't have her fussing over me all the time, but there won't be a KFM (Kentucy Fried Mouse) or a MacBirdy to eat at. I think it sounds more like FAT CAMP to me - although the owner does let us have tuna and chicken if we don't grass her up to our mum!
I guess I will have to amuse myself by chatting up the persian totty that live there. Being a cat show winner will definitely help me pull the ladies. So go on...please make my day. I need all the help I can get with the ladies as most of the time I have my mummy following me around checking I haven't split a claw or burnt my ears - it does nothing for your street cred, trust me. I mean, come on, I am THREE. I can look after myself now.

Now I don't do cat shows - apart from photo ones - because my meowmy says I'd be frightened of the small spaces they put you in while you wait to be judged. As a result, these were the first two RED rosettes that I've won. I've won two YELLOW ones before for third place.
She's right, you know about being frightened - I was abused and neglected when I was a little boy and I am really scared of small spaces. If I am cornered, I will bite and scratch, you see. :-[

Mum just told us that neither me or Lukey got through to the final :-: First of all we were a bit sad but then Mum said how we were still winners cos we were the bestest boys in the whole wide world :Flowers:
She also told us that our big sister, :Luv: Tiggy :Luv: has got through, now we never met Tiggy but Mum talks about her all the time and sometimes Mum gets a wet face when she's talking about her, that's where me and Lukey come in. We always give Mum special purry cuddles when she has a wet face :) Tiggy doesn't live with Mum anymore cos she had to go to a place called Rainbow Bridge, Mum says one day we'll meet her and then we'll see what all the fuss was about. Mum always says Tiggy was the bestest girl in the whole wide world which means that we must be pretty special too seeing as we are the bestest boys in the whole wide world :)
Anyway it would make me and Lukey (and our Mum of course) very happy if you would vote for our big sister :Luv: Tiggy :Luv:

Mum just told us that neither me or Lukey got through to the final :-: First of all we were a bit sad but then Mum said how we were still winners cos we were the bestest boys in the whole wide world :Flowers:
She also told us that our big sister, :Luv: Tiggy :Luv: has got through, now we never met Tiggy but Mum talks about her all the time and sometimes Mum gets a wet face when she's talking about her, that's where me and Lukey come in. We always give Mum special purry cuddles when she has a wet face :) Tiggy doesn't live with Mum anymore cos she had to go to a place called Rainbow Bridge, Mum says one day we'll meet her and then we'll see what all the fuss was about. Mum always says Tiggy was the bestest girl in the whole wide world which means that we must be pretty special too seeing as we are the bestest boys in the whole wide world :)
Anyway it would make me and Lukey (and our Mum of course) very happy if you would vote for our big sister :Luv: Tiggy :Luv:
Have decided to go for a change of tactics :sneaky: This time I want... the sympathy vote :evillaugh: Mum just told me that on the last day of this super duper competition I'm going to have to go and stay with the vet man for a whole day without my Mum or brother :( It would cheer me up if I knew my big sister :Luv: Tiggy :Luv: had lots and lots of votes. Now apparently I have got through to this final which i'm quite pleased about..I have a special friend you see called Nitika and I bet her in a competition last year so she would have chirrup'ed at me if I didnt get any votes and then i would have been very :-[
I would be very happy if you guys voted for me once more and more importantly my bestest friend connor will be happy and bring a big smile to his face ;D

I am bursting with pride to see that Sweep, Suki, and Tatty all won 3rd places, and that my little Chloe has got through to the final. All the kitties in the competition are so gorgeous I want to vote for them all, and I can't believe that one of my furbabes has made it this far.
Chloe came to us as an ex semi-feral, after she was found wandering the streets back in 1987. During the time that she was with us she blossomed into an extremely beautiful and spirited young lady :Luv:. She suffered several illnesses in the last 5 years that she was with us :(, but her feistyness and sheer determination taught us that she had a Never Give In attitude to life ;D.

Thank you all! I'm really thrilled to make it through to the final! My meowmy was very happy and gave me lots of :cuddle: as it gave me my eighth red rosette in one day!!! I secretly like to think that this one gave her the most happiness - I think it does because she tells me I've never been in a show as tough or as big as this one, even the Supreme.
I am also a semi-feral as I'd been living rough and raised two families before coming to my forever home with help from Auntie Linda at Ely CP who introduced me to my meowmy. Though I guess I am now as feral as a pair of carpet slippers... :rofl:
My meowmy and my Auntie Linda both tell me I have come a long, long way since the day I was rescued. The day I was trapped I only weighed 1.2 kilos, full of worms and covered in fleas, in a dreadful state from having raised two litters of kittens on the bounce.
I don't think about that very much anymore as I much prefer having my sexy curves! :blow kiss:
I only wish my boyfriend Toby could have made the final together with me, but he is now leading my campaign team and is asking you all very nicely to please click the box next to my name on the ballot slip.

I think its wonderful to hear of the backgrounds of the cats in the final and didnt realize that Chloe like Tiggy was a Rainbow Bridge cat. Pearl like Minimopsical was rescued from a certain death, so come on everyone vote for the cats in the final cos they have come so far to get there, even the pampered pedigrees, Zephyr and Cody :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:.
Jessie, Pimpernel and Gizmo I dont know their history but they are all part of the ginger brigade that are trying to take over the final but i have missed someone......grrrrrrrrr who is it :shify: :shify: Its Hobbes another of the ginger gang :rofl: :rofl:

Pimpernel is a rescued cat too, as are all my cats. He came to me when he was about 5 months old or less. Even now, and he's a year older, I can't understand why anyone wouldn't want to keep him. Looking at all the other cats in the show, I expect everyone else feels the same.

Hi everyone it's Hobbes here. Wow, well what can I say :thanks: so much to everyone that voted for me, my meowmy has told me I am in the final of this wonderful cat show and I am very proud and surprised that I won my group. :Luv: There are so many fab cats in the show and you have all been stars. My meowmy says I have done very well cos I'm still only a baby - I am 8 months old today - and lots of the other cats are older than me so she is very proud of me (there were a few tears cos she's very soppy :rofl:)
I'm a rescue cat too, I was born in a greenhouse in October along with my sister and 3 brothers. Some very nice people were looking after us but they got worried cos it was getting cold so they called the nice Cats Protection ladies who came and rescued me and my family. I lived with my foster mummy for a while then my meowmy (another Cats Protection lady) decided she wanted me to live with her and Dylan. I was somethink called the runt of the litter and I was very small and didn't like eating, they were a bit worried about me. I love eating now tho and I am growing up to be big and strong like my bruv Dylan.
Anyway I just wanted to let you know about me and to ask if you would please vote for me again cos my meowmy would be so proud if I won (and I might get a new toy :rofl: )

The Ginger Gang - tee, hee - they're simply the best 'cos they look just like little tigers ;D (although I'm never gonna be able to wear anything black ever again 'cos I end up looking like a walking hairball - very professional NOT >:()
Just to let you know that both Jessie and her bro Cosmo were rescue kitties via our local animal rescue in N London. Basically, I just 'phoned up and said I wanted 2 kittens, wasn't bothered about colour or sex and a very nice lady turned up one Saturday afternoon with them both in one carrier (not that they'd both fit in one now - the chubsters - :rofl:). The rest as they say is history...
Don't know what their early history was but presumed it wasn't the best if they were being fostered :( - perhaps best if I don't know, really...
