Title: Blue Kitten found nr Yeovil Somerset
Post by: Nick (Peanut & Boo) on July 17, 2007, 21:42:31 PM
One of the girls in my office said they heard about a littl blue kitten found this week in Yeovil. Apparently  some kids were pushing it around in a pram trying to find its owners. I'll try to get some details tomorrow and perhaps someone can help with some advice on how to notify various  organisations etc. Its being taken to a local vet tonight hopefully it will have a chip but it might be too young
Would it be a good idea to have the address where pets are found or lost in the thread title so that visitors do not have to open every post to see which area of the country it is in ?

Nick,

I usually recommend the following:

1.   Take the cat to your local vet and ask them to check for a micro-chip.

2.    Put up posters in your local area.

3.   Contact vets and rescues in your local area.   A list of local rescues can be found on http://www.catchat.org/adoption/index.html (click on the map of the UK to find your area)

4.   Put a found notice on the following sites:   http://www.chaptanservices.com/purrs/index.php
