Title: Silk Ties - Free if anyone can use them to sell and raise funds.
Post by: Sam (Fussy_Furball) on October 01, 2007, 12:16:29 PM
Our company has recently been bought and been rebranded ... as such all the company colours have now changed.

I have been given the wonderful task of throwing out all the "old branded" items.  I have come across several boxes of silk ties ..... I have had to removed the company name tag from the back of the tie and am suppose to "give them to charity".

If anyone thinks they may be able to sell some of them at a fundraiser / charity shop / etc please let me know and I'll send some to you.

They aren't the most exciting looking things ... they are nave blue with the chemical structure of our product embroidered on them  however they are very good quality 100% silk.

I will put up a picture later when I get home.

You wait til you see what they look like ....  .... they are "different" that's for sure.  I'm sure someone will like them but not exactly my cup of tea.

I have given 20 of them to one of the ladies that's works with me to sell at the next Nottingham CP "open day" ... I'm sure some of the old boys will pay £1 for a silk tie.

I have to say, I really like the design. It looks like abstract dragons to me  :wow: and very classic colours as well. It would make up into a rather attractive skirt or similar, if only I could sew ...

Must admit Sam - I tell my mum off and I do exactly the same thing.  You wouldn't believe there was only me and Bonnie in my house.  A young girl at work is moving into her 1st flat next week and I took her loads of kitchen things in to work today - she was over joyed bless her.

Gosh, you had those longer than I've been married!

I wore black pencil skirt to work the other day and everyone commented on how lovely it was .... you should have seen their faces when I told them it was something I used to wear to college when I was 18 ..... I'm now 41  ;)  (and yes it still fit's me perfectly  :innocent:)

Now if that isn't proof I never throw anything out I don't know what is! LOL
