Well done, Kosha.  I have just taken on number four (collecting her on Wednesday)and my houe is not exactly massive, living in the same town as you.  However, I have not noticed much of a difference between having two for five years and three for 7 months now.  And they say four is still fine.  That is my upper limit though with petplan insurance for all but I only have one adult one child in the house so the cats have enough places to sleep and they have the whole garden to garden area to go and they have been happy with that, especially now that the days are getting longer-if not warmer...

well done you!

as far as vacinnations go, I have heard that the 'vacinnation month' scheme has been extended (unless its just local), so if you don't have a low cost vacinnation centre that may be cheaper - do phone round and ask. It doesn't say so on the site but if you don't ask you don't get :briggin:

I've got Good news! :wow:
After delicate negotiations and budget balancing ;) I'm offering to take Tiger on as well. Wasn't planning to have a full ready built cat family straight off, but its strange how things go isn't it?
Both my and the OH's instincts said it would be wrong not to take him, but the decision needed to be tempered by practicality as well.

Am currently fidgeting round the house waiting for the call to arrange a collection date.... like a blue  :censored: fly at the moment (that and I wasn't expecting snow last night and i've got soft fruit plants establishing in the garden!  Hope it doesn't do too much damage!)

Anyway, need to go buzz somewhere else now........

Koscha its great that you are taking 2 on, though 3 is not a bad thing. Also the three of them are already used to each other, and I know it must be breaking your heart to separate them. Don't feel bad. Many people would not be able to do even half of what you are, though if you can squeeze another in you will find any transitions easier to deal with. Have to say would hate to be in your shoes.

Oh, guys i already feel bad enough as it is! :( Though I am tempted to take all 3 off  her hands believe me! The other half and I discussed it and we think 2 is enough to start with *grins to herself*- little does he know.... James loves cats but neither of us has had cats for a long time and we have to ease his dad (who bought the house for us- or we'd still be in rented accomodation) into it.

She seems like a nice lady, but the cats need vaccinating and microchipping(when I get Simba and Sheba they be off down the vet toot sweet ;))

Gotta tread lightly on this one, when I mentioned that tiger still needs homing her reply was 'i'm sure something will turn up' ......hmmmm

am still contemplating this one....

if dawn has 45 cats then you can squeeze in another 1 .......

You have got a point Mags  :evillaugh:  But thankfully I don't always have that amount in and I did rehome Abigail last night so I now have one less  ;)

It's lovely that you're helping your friend by taking in two of her cats, isn't there any possibility you could squeeze this little one in, they don't need a huge house to be happy  ;)

Tiger needs a new home....can you help??
« Reply #1 on: April 04, 2008, 02:10:03 AM »
I'm writing this on behalf of a lovely lady called Anna who is looking to rehome her cat Tiger due to the fact that her rented accomodation won't let her have cats  >:(. I'm taking in her other two cats Sheba and Simba, but I can't make room for Tiger as my house is too small  :(
Tiger is a brown mackerel tabby,11 years old, in good health, playful and good with kids and dogs. I'd really like to see him get a good home myself because I would have loved to take him myself and i'm really sad that I can't.
I'll be checking if Anna's put him on rescue waiting lists, but IMHO its good to give him as much of a chance as possible. They are based in Folkestone, Kent.

If you would like to know more contact me in the first instance and i'll pass your info on.
