:'(
I am missing my little white tomcat Thunder since June 13. he's got green eyes and a slight grayish spot on his head. his fellow kitten Storm misses him badly and can't eat; we live in the Harringay/Wood Green/Finsbury Park area (Green Lanes).
if anyone sees or hears anything at all ... we would be super happy to even get the slightest hint ... there's a high reward too for whoever finds him.
thanks ...
Annie

Hi Annie,
Sorry you've found us under these circumstances. Have you had a look at the hints and tips section:
http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php/topic,305.0.html
Also have your tried visualisation:

Stay positive and get as many posters out as possible (once you think you've done enough ... go round again and do more).
Regards
Sam

Sam,
Thank you so much. I think it was you that emailed me when I first registered with this other website ... a very consoling and useful email with loads of great advice that I will follow! Thank you very much for that too.
I'll do everything I can - at the end of the day I can't see us without Thunder so I believe he will be back.
xo,
Annie :thanks:

Hello Annie and :welcome: to Purrs
Pleased to have you on board but sorry that you have come under such sad circumstances - I know that they are a pain in the neck when they go missing.
I know that it may sound obvious but have you left a saucer of food by the front door and/or in the garden?
Come home soon Thunder :where:
-
hello Yvonne, thank you very much for posting to me. :thanks:
I have left a saucer of food by the front door, as I don't have access to the garden (the cats have, thay jump out of the window, then onto a roof, then into the garden). Thunder always used to wait for me by the front door when I would come home from work and then went back inside with me ...
again thank you so much for your support. this is really touching and means a lot to me as I'm really worried.
-
definitely have a knock on neighbours doors, if he can't get back inside easily he might have found somewhere else where he can!
-
thank you ... I will! it's just he usually always comes running when I call him, even if it takes a coupla minutes ... just this time he doesn't ... I think he might be trapped somewhere ... :'(
it really means a lot to me that there's people to give me tips and a bit of comfort ...
:thanks:
-
he's probably trapped with a well meaning old lady and tuna! one of mine used to go into a neighbours house and she loved it, unfortunately one day she locked him in without knowing and he peed on her bed! my garden is cat proofed now so he can't get out but his brother also ended up in somebody 10 doors up wardrobe!
-
ok ... I will check with everyone around the block ... again ... thank you !!!!!
-
I have known of a few cats who have been trapped in sheds or such like for a while, the other day I heard of a cat who had entered someone's catflap while they were on holiday and putting a leaflet through their door they heard the cat.
-
My cat was trapped in a garage/lock up type thing for 13 days....sometimes they are closer than you imagine.... ;)
Sending positive vibes for your babes safe return~~~~~Good Luck! :Luv:

Hi Annie
Yes it was me that sent you the hints and tips iwhen you registered your boy on the National Pet Register. I'm sure if you work your way through the list and do a bit of door knocking you will be reunited with Thunder very soon.
I assume Thunder has been neutered?
-
... he hasn't been, no ... I would've had the appointment at the vet's the day before yesterday ... :scared:
seriously, all of you ... I totally appreciate your support, it may sound funny but I think without you guys I'd go crazy at this stage.
:thanks:

I am sorry to welcome you to Purrs in such sad circumstances, Annie. Thunder wouldn't be the first little cat off looking for romance - is there anywhere near you where feral cats might hang out? If so, it would be worth looking - and leafletting - round there.
-
... thank you Christine ... I have no idea if or where there's feral cats hanging in my area ... what I do know though is that apparently there's quite alot of foxes ... :scared:
-
Hi Annie,
I wouldn't worry too much about foxes .... I know cats are at risk of fox attacks but there are many more dangers before foxes.
I would have a word with your local Cats Protection and vets to see if they are aware of any feral colonies in the area. As he hasn't had the snip there is a strong chance he is off looking for "love". Of course that in itself can be dangerous as he might run into other bigger and harder tomcats and may end up in a fight.
As an unneutered boy he may well roam quite a distance so I would suggest widening your search area for him.
Good luck
Come on Thunder mummy wants you back home ... NOW!!!!
-
Sam, thanks again for the tip ... I will check that too ... do they really stay away for almost a week at times ... ?
-
An entire tom can travel a long way and stay away for days as humans provide plenty of edible garbage!
Iv a ginger and white im after and its been over a week since he last visited, i assume hes off lady hunting :tired: and will be back when he requires topping up.
How old is thunder?
-
he's 10 months old. he's butter off to look for love before, but never stayed away for more than 2 days and, as I said, usually waited on me when I got back from work or at least turned up when I called him ...
-
As they get older the urge does get stronger and they develop a bigger territory. 6 days seems a life time to you but he will more than likely turn up like nothing ever happened!
Is his friend/sibling also entire? If so it would be best to keep him grounded until done.
-
his little friend is also entire, Yeah ... but he's too scared to go outside for some reason, he never does ...
-
as they get older the urge for them to go out will be stronger, he definitely needs to be done
-
... well I know ... I'll need to find him first though I guess. :-[
-
I meant his mate lol! he may not want to go out now but once he gets the idea there will be no stopping him!
-
Thats good that storm stays in, he wont have caught anything from fighting. Is he the same age as thunder?
-
Have you tried phong the CP centre in Archway Road?
-
Storm's 2 weeks younger. but he's always been the one a little more attached and a little less independent ...
ah right Dawn, sorry, totally got you wrong ... it's just that at the moment Storm's really confused as it is ... so maybe I'd rather wait until some kind of solution's panned out, don't you think?
Mark ... I haven't ... but I will have in 2 secs ... : ) thank you! : )
-
Tbh the sooner hes snipped and chipped the better for him, the only thing confusing him is where the dominant figure has gone, hes a target for bullying being the wuss and could be chased off the patch so being done and with a chip would be the best thing for him. :shy:
-
well they are both chipped ...
-
Thats good, improves his chances immensely ;D
-
You lovely people ... I'm posting this with the amazing news that Thuhnder is back home with me. some children found him when we had the thunderstorm and apparently he was really scared so they took him back home with them. their Mom decided to keep him and wait for a sign from the owner. so when I went and put up posters everywhere they called me immediately!
Thank you guys so much for your tips, help and support ... I had a rough time worrying about my darling and I really appreciate the comfort you gave me. :thanks:
Take care - Love,
Annie
-
glad he has turned up - best get him to the vet for the snip now!
