Ours are all happy with Felix AGAIL too Ellie and hope that continues for a while. Afraid I tried the Bozita (can't remember which flavours) but they went off it after a few cartons.  Applause is too expensive.  I try and get a few different pouches of other foods every so often to add a little variety to the Felix and supplement with Science Plan and JWB each mixed with a little Go Cat.  You do what you can :-:

Will be interested to hear how your troop get on with Bozita.

Can you get Applaws in sachets as well as tins?  Can I buy it from Zooplus?  Apologies if this has already been clarified, but I cant see it.
Applaws is just in tins and yup Zooplus has it. Just go to cat wet food and its right there  :wow:

I thought someone had posted that Applaws was complete, I must be getting my foods mixed up.
Mark, they have changed the Tuna pate tins, it has a new name and no squid (or at least the ones I bought last week didn't) - HiLife are rebranding all their tins at the moment.
Ellie, you can get the Essentials pouches either loose 4 for £1, or boxes for £2.88 - I can send you a couple through the post if you want, we have an abundance of them here. Asda are the only people who can sell those though. Mine only like the Tuna in the tins, but the Feline Fayre ones dont go down as well (they do big tins of tuna, as well as the 4 packs which are 2 Tuna and 2 something else - dont know what, I left the other flavour at the rescue!). One other bonus to Bozita is that they need less of it, my friend can get 6-7 meals out of one carton, I can get 5 (we do both feed dry though).

Susanne have you opened the food school yet?  :evillaugh:

I'm getting in a bit of last minute training.  Jaffa wasn't too keen on the bozita I gave him the other day and after eating 2/3 of it he walked away from his bowl.  I chided him and made him return to finish it under my watchful eye and he did  ;D

The school will be opening shortly.

Thanks everyone  :)

Desley are the Hilife tuna pouches in a pack or loose?

Mark I have the Cherished tins and they only eat the Tuna  :tired: :evillaugh:

Susanne have you opened the food school yet?  :evillaugh:

Helen I am going to the link now  ;) I'll try both of them but I think Bozita might be ok as it's in jelly (fingers crossed)  :tired:

:thanks: for the feedback and if anyone has any other foods I should try I'm open to suggestions  ;D

Applaws is super luxury food and only for a treat in my house.  Bozita is on the daily menu, it's chunks in jelly and is very popular here.  I order from Zooplus - via the Purrs link of course  ;) If you get the 18 packs it works out to something like 65p a carton (which is the equivalent of 4 pouches or 1 tin) so it's really good value as well as being a high meat content food.

I got some Applaws from Crufts the other week and my baby boy just loves it!!

Bad mistake trying him with it. He will want it all the time  :) :).

Mine love it - but it cost a bloomin fortune.
I'm very fortunate that he will eat anything ... including the Philly cheese off of my bagel  :censored:

You can't just buy them a tin of tuna as an alternative to Applaws,

Yes you can as Applaws adult tins are not complete foods. It does not contain vitamins, minerals or anything else just 75% tuna, 6% rice and 19% cooking water. Applaws confirmed to me a few months ago that only their kitten food is complete.

If they don't like chunks or hard pate, have you tried using a handblender and blending them a wet food? It's a right royal pain but goes down easier (sometimes)!

Also the small cans of Hi-life "Tuna Imperial" or "Essentials" - both complete food with a tiny amount of runny jelly. it is the dark meat and very smelly but cats love it   ;D
also it's only about 30p a can (4 for £1 in Asda) - the only difference between the 2 is Tuna imperial has one tiny piece of squid in the top of the can  :evillaugh:

You can't just buy them a tin of tuna as an alternative to Applaws, as complete tuna foods have added things to make sure they contain all the nutrients, unlike a tin of tuna. Have you tried the HiLife Essentials tuna pouches Ellie? They are in a jelly.

Applaws is literally shredded chicken or tuna in the cooking water and some flavour have the addition of seaweed or cheese. A cheaper option is just to boil a chicken breast, shred it and put that and the water in a bowl for them or buy them a tin of tuna in spring water, fraction of the cost for the same food!!

My lot are a fussy bunch, well apart from Muppet  :tired: I think it's to do with the texture of the food. To be honest I'm hoping it is  ;)

I want to try them on Applaws or Bozita or anything other than FelixAGAIL as it's just a matter of time before they go off that.

Can anyone tell me what kind of texture these are? I have tried Natures Menu and Hilife but they won't touch it  :tired: I don't think they like the pate type or large chunk type  :tired:

Any advice or suggestions would be grateful received  :thanks:
