Title: Daily Mail September 26 1968 - Sooty
Post by: Angiew on July 22, 2012, 18:50:17 PM
posted on FB. I've been to the bungalow today for its weekly insurance check. All is cleared out now.

Rummage in the wheekie bin to check on what was dumped and have retrieved a few bits and bobs (including a letter Vic wrote to Di in 1949 before they were married (mainly for the 1949 blue 2 and 1/2 p postage stamp in the first instance....)

Anyway, some of the cuttings .....

I'm glad you retrieved them Angie, makes me really sad to think of treasured things like this that someone has kept for all those years just being chucked  :shy:

'This is a picture of our modern self-centred world'... if only they knew what was to come eh!  :scared:

A happy ending then  :)

I'm wondering if you could use these cut-outs to try and publicise your fundraising drive...

As they're from the Daily Mirror you could see if they are interested plus the local paper too maybe?

Old lady dies and very generously leaves cattery/home to CovCats, cut-outs found and rescued, does anyone remember this and know what happened to Sooty, who adopted her etc - lots of plugs for your fundraising for the new cattery etc etc
