Sorry Gillian :care:

Nothing I can say right now  :(
DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

He's gone, he was so poorly, vet could have done the x rays and drained, if there was fluid, but his heart sounded so bad, she thought the sedation would have pushed him ove r the ege anyway - plus if he survived the procedure, ultimately as his heart was so bad it most likely wouldnt have given him much more time anyway, so made the decision, was my vet this time and she had a cat with HCM who went downhill suddenly like this too. They were so lovely, let me sit with him on my lap for a while before he was pts, he went to sleep so quickly and gently, I realy wanted him to be at home for this, but was best to do it there and then I suppose, heartbroken

I'm just going down to be with him, vet thinks he's so poorly he might not survive the procedure anyway

Sam's breathing has been quite laboured these past few days and the heat isnt helping I'm sure, but yesterday he didnt eat much and he's been drinking a lot. This morning I found him outside lying by the larger water bowl I've got outside for them. This breathing is the same as when he was first diagnosed with HCM 2 yrs or so ago and he had to have fluid drained off - not had to have that procedure since and he's been doing so well.

Just taken him in to the vets, not my usual one, and she just wanted to give him antibiotics and steroids  :scared: but I asked about the possibility of fluid building up again, and she's admitted him to do an x-ray to see if thats the case before deciding what to do. She asked if I thought maybe its time, but I don't know, if it is fluid and its successfully drained and he has another 2 yrs like when he was first diagnosed, then thats good, but I know he's more frail than last time to be honest.

I'm so scared I'm going to lose him during the procedure now when I'm not with him, and I could have made the decision to let him go while I was still there with him  :'(
