or why they sell some products in so few outlets!  anyone would think they don't want to sell them.   The essentials pouches are like gold dust.  I think it's just Morrissons who sell them.  It took me ages to tumble to the fact that the petit pate was actually the same as the hi life essentials tins.   Not as cheap as the 4 for £1 offer in Asda though.  I don't know why they have diffferent names for the same product.

But this begs the question of why Hilife's website doesnt list the pate at all! See http://www.hilifepet.co.uk/osb/showitem.cfm/category/17.

My Asda (Chatham) only carry the tuna now and Her Bubzship doesnt like it. :( She'll only eat turkey or chicken.

They do usually come in mixed trays so if someone has been buying up all the meat ones there may be only fish ones left.  That happened to me a couple of months ago - I went a few times and they only had tuna and salmon.  And when I go I help myself to several tins of turkey and giblets so anyone coming after me would probably find only fish ones!

I see you have a Wilkinson+ in Chatham - we only have a regular one in Canterbury and they had all the flavours there yesterday. I'm pretty sure Sainsburys sell all the flavours too.

Asda still sell the tins of hi life essentials - I bought some last weekend (turkey and giblets).   The hi life petit pate is exactly the same as the hi life essentials and is sold at more outlets (I forget which but I have seen it in sainsburys)

Wilkinsons and Tesco sell the Hi-life small tins. As far a I know, Porta 21 isn't a complete food.

Found some tins of turkey Hilife Essentials at Morrisons yesterday so will be ok till that source dries up. It's described as pate so doubt the pouches are the same/

This morning I tried Bubz on Toplife Formula and it hasnt gone down that well :(

Oh well............

I'm pretty sure Tesco's Premium has no cereal in, though it does have other additives. Probably a good alternative if you want to avoid the expensive brands.

Bubz has been eating Hilife's small tins of tuna and the chicken or turkey (the yellow labels anyhow) for a few months. She then decided she didnt like the tuna at the same time as Asda decided to stop carrying the meat flavour! She isnt partial to tuna in any wet food yet she'll happily munch Whiskas' dry tuna-flavoured things.

Googling Hilife took me to their website where they list pouches but not the small tins.. Anyone know whether the pouches are the same as the tins?

Molly can be picky with NM, so I alternate hers with HiLife Essentials, but it has to be hte tins (they are 4 for £1 in Asda though, so not too bad). Tesco do Finest and Luxury foods, and HiLife do pouches, but mine aren't keen on that - they are similar consistency to PAH's Purely range, but cheaper in Asda.

my two have taken to Porta21 chicken - available in various size tins from Zooplus - it's the first wet food both like and will eat every day -  yet they won't even try freshly cooked chicken

Natures Menu is a good adult wet food, has a very high meat percentage.

Its like a supermeat/pate style, my boy Max loves is at a treat from his renal diet now and again.

Bozita (available online from Zooplus) is the meat that I feed my 6 (4 Bengals and 2 moggies) they also have raw meat.  Dry food with no derivatives etc are Orijen and Arden Grange sensitive.
