Kitten with balance problems

(1/2) > >>

Desley (booktigger):
Fingers crossed it is just a mild case, and it won't cause her too many issues

Sue P (Paddysmum):
As bless her little paws.  Yes, that seems more than likely if one of her littermates was also lost.

I think you've got it Sue, that's what I was casting around for but couldn't remember the name of the condition. I'll try and get a video of her movements and put a you tube link up - but from what I've read so far this is what her symptoms suggest, and as we already lost Minnie from this litter it may be Augusta dud have an in utero infection during pregnancy that caused both kittens to struggle.

Thank you, off to the pleasure dome for some filming!

Sue P (Paddysmum):
Am just wondering if this is anything to do with the cerebellum or vestibular system, Sheila.

My sister used to have a cat with cerebellar hypoplasia (I think that's what it was) and she always held her head to one side, and was a little unsteady on her feet.  She lived until she was 5, and was a happy little soul who was otherwise healthy, but she always lived as an indoor cat.

Am sending this little mite lots of loving vibes.
