Title: Introducing Kitten to another kitten.
Post by: lola on August 30, 2012, 19:43:45 PM
Writing this for someone else. They have a 6 month old male cat and their boyfriend has a new 12 week kitten. The boyfriend comes to stay two nights a week and will have to bring the kitten with him. I've only ever had one cat at at time so I have no idea how they will do this. The cats have never met, but they wanted to know to to go about this. is it possible to have a cat visit a few times a week without them both being stressed by it? Both cats are from the same mother.

Simple answer...........Nope

You'd be bringing a cat into another cat's territory, each time he visits, a reintroduction would need to take place.  It can take a few weeks for an introduction to go through.  The cats will need to work out who is the boss and they need to lay their ground rules.

It would be cruel and stressful on both cats to bring a kitten in and out all the time
