I can - Toby. Toby was a gentle, sweet, loving boy from the get go. He was never interested in toys and playing like other kittens, he just wanted to be near people. As long as he was, he was happy.  :Luv:

Our current ginger and white boy however.... :sneaky:

Dave only has a little ginger on his tummy, surely this isn't enough to explain his outrageous naughtiness!?

I have just been bought a glue gun and Hannah and I have already had a good laugh thinking of the amount of trouble Dave could get into if i'm not extremely vigilant with it!

Yes yes Boys are much worse! Ella and Effie were trouble but not in this league!!!!

Not sure it's a boy/girl thing tbh Simon  :scared:  Our Groucho (black/brown) has never tried to climb our bare legs or attacked us in any way.  Neither did either of the (black) girls when they were wee.  I hate to be racist about this but I think it's a colour problem  :scared:

Bear in mind even Susanne's Jaffa has recently started to show his "true colours" (have to say pointing the finger at Mosi again Susanne is a bit unfair).  We've been catsitting for near neighbours' gingers for some years now and I remember with horror the daily clean up operation we had to go through for quite a while especially if they had access to newspapers  :naughty:

DON'T LET HIM NEAR NEWSPAPERS    :Nooooo:....well don't say I didn't warn you ...

Come on peeps, can anyone name a well behaved ginger kitten ...... I rest my case  :)

ETA  Ella is a very beautiful girl  :Luv: :Luv:.  She looks a little like twin sister of Helen's Lucas ...

Welcome to the world of ginger ninjas!  Ginger boys are trouble!  Hate to scare you but Mosi is 5 now and he is still a lunatic, still races about everywhere and still tries to snuggle into my neck at night (of course now that he's bigger all he can do is lean against my face!)

I am only just getting my nights back after I also adopted spawn of the devil in the shape of Dave :evillaugh: I can't believe he's nearly 3! It's only in the last couple of months he's stopped badgering me incessantly at 4am for breakfast.

I think boys are much much harder work than girls, I don't remember Chilli giving me nearly as much trouble and even to this day Dave is the naughtiest (and clumsiest, amplifying the naughty).

Archie is cute though and they will always win when they give you their cutest face, reserved for one when they know they're in trouble!

Awww  :Luv: :Luv:

Sure it will not be long before Ella gets used to Archie's unpredicable kitten ways and will soon be teaching him all things that kittens need to know. Would not be surprised if soon the pair are found curled up together with Archie getting a wash and brush up from Ella  ;)

It's nice that Archie has a playmate - it should take some of the heat off you and Sean!

Two people in my office each recently adopted two kittens and they are pretty worn out by them!

Simon - I 100% concur with everything everyone has said. Defo not too soon to adopt another furbaby. It is so obviously fate and arranged by sweet Effie, that you be united. I think Archie will be a real tonic! He'll help with the healing process big time!

Oh and I suppose I should mention that he's flippin G O R G E O U S  :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:

Wonderful news!

Some people need time to get over a loss, others need to fill the void straight away - there's no right or wrong way, you do what you need to do.

Anyway, it's certainly not "too soon" for Archie - what a gorgeous little sweetheart!

Sean is head over heels with Archie and they are inseperable  - i think they have a ginger boy thing going on and they look like dad and son

Im sure very soon she'll be making sure he's clean and presentable and teaching him acceptable behaviour

He is stunning Si and I am sure that he was sent to you by Effie xxx he will never replace your girl but will steal your heart is his own way and keep Ella company too xxx

Exactly this

When I got the boys I wondered if I would be able to love them as much as I loved my beloved Tiggy and whether I would resent them for being here when she was not. The answers, as I'm sure you will discover are YES, you will love  little Archie as much as your beloved Effie but not instead of, as well as  And NO, you won't resent him but will very quickly fall in love

As if you didn't know it, but he's an absolute stunner  :Luv2:
