well fantastic news this morning guys.  My phone rang at 9.30 this morning from Toots' new dad to say that she had a wonderful night and he is very excited and over the moon with her.

She curled up on the sofa for the night to sleep, has eaten and is currently curled up on the sofa getting lots of cuddles.  So it all seems to be a good fit for now and we will pop in and see how they are getting on next friday! :)

Aww, that is wonderful news, so glad she found a home, and can't believe she had to wait so long, 11 isn't even that old.

So Happy - Old Timer getting a new home!!!!

We were out last night doing a home visit for a chap who is looking for a companion cat to keep him company.  We were a bit unsure at first as it was in assisted housing scheme but we were very pleasantly surprised when we got there.  After a long talk we have decided to place Toots one of oldies with this man for company and we feel they would be ideally suited to one another and he is very excited about her coming to stay.

We will be taking Toots out to her new home tonight and will be keeping a close watch on their progress and be there to lend a hand if its needed but we feel that they will do each other the world of good.  Eespecially as Toots has been with us for nearly 2 years... bless her, and only because of her age at 11yrs old.

For the moment we are very pleased that we didn't let our 'bad' experiences with these schemes impair our decision to visit with this potential new home.

Good luck Toots!  You really deserve it huney!!  :Luv2:

and it just goes to show that just because of 1 or 2 bad experiences doesn't mean they all will be.  ;)
