Hi sorry I've not been around much, been really busy but I'm still here in spirit!
Rescued a really messy persian last week. He's an entire boy, young (2ish maybe) and with a very poor cream coat. He has stud tail and loads of mats. He also has a slight limp but likes to climb so we don't think it's anything serious.
Anyway the worst thing possible happened, he got out of his pen and ran off. He'd only been there a night so doesn't know the area.
Naturally the first thing we did was take his badly-fitting collar off so he doesn't even have that.
Any sightings or rescues who get a call about a matching cat please holler!

What a shame and a worry :( hope you hear news of the poor kitty soon xx

:crossed: Hi i know just how you feel! My grey baby from the factory where i worked until i was made redundant escaped from the feral paddock at Cramar cat rescue nr. Birmingham on 28th May. It's about 20 miles away from work so he too has no idea where he is. I've been worried to death because i've looked after him since he was born 6 years ago.
I wish you all the luck in the world in your search.

Ditto Shirley, thanks

Hi, any news about your poorly persian? :scared:
-
Sadly not. We think he might be trying to make his way back to Somercotes, about 5 miles away as there have been no sightings locally. I'm just on my way to the shelter to see if there are any updates :thanks:

Well today's been an emotional strain. I went to do my Sunday cleaning this morning to be greeted with news of a tragic accident that happened to one of the younger residents of the shelter. Everyone was in bits and it was a real chore to do the pens. My rescue world's been a lot like this the past few months. Happy tales and sad tales, sometimes it's really hard to keep at it but we need to for the cats' sake.
Anyhow I got home, made some lunch and the phone rang. There had been a sighting of Mr Ramsay. I rushed round and have spent most of the day looking in the area. It wasn't entirely fruitless. Lots of people have reported they've seen a large cream cat with a flat face; one of whom had seen him snoozing in their garden. He's not too far from where he went missing so that's encouraging so now i just have to keep strolling around until he appears again. We've left phone numbers with lots of people so here's hoping :)

Went to see him last night. He is just :Luv2: . We found out the reason he was so desperate to flee his pen; he hates men! We don't know why but he runs as if he's trying to get away from his worst nightmare, poor thing.
Anyway he will be fine.
Also the poor lamb has never been litter trained  so that's our next mission.
