Title: **desperate** home needed for handsome black cat in High Peak***
Post by: noodlepooch on November 19, 2008, 17:54:35 PM
*****MINKY HAS BEEN REHOMED - PLEASE SEE LATEST POST FOR UPDATE ON CICERO*****

Minky and Cicero need a new home!

Their mum and dad have emigrated, and they are being cared for in a private foster home.

Cicero is a huge, sleek, jet black, 2year old boy, who is absolutely gorgeous! Minky is a beautiful little smokey grey tortie (very striking!), who looks like she may have some BSH in her. She is 1yr old, but is the size of a 4mth kitten! A perpetual kitten :D

They are both great with other cats, dogs and kids, and are used to a busy household. Whenever I go into the spare room to see them, they are both purring like steam trains!

They have both been recently treated with frontline and drontal, and have also just been neutered, and given the all clear by the vets. Unfortunately their vaccinations have lapsed.

They are looking for a loving forever home, where they will be allowed to play out, and with new parents who will be happy to send the odd photo and update to their old mummy and daddy (they loved them very much!) They can be rehomed together or seperatley.

Apologies for the poor photos, but Minky is far too busy to pose (although she does love her cuddles!)

Hi

Yes they are both gorgeous, and Cicero in particular just loves everyone, and purrs & head butts like crazy :-)

This rehoming is starting to become urgent, as they are fostering with me at the moment (no rescue involved), and I'm struggling to afford their upkeep. Also my 2 resident kitties are getting less and less impressed as each day passes :-(

I'm near Buxton in Derbyshire if anyone can help

Thanks

Bumping

We are absolutely desperate to find these guys a rescue place or new home.

They are lovely cats, but both they, myself, my toddler and my resident pets are getting very stressed with the situation. They are spending most of their time confined to a large dog crate, which is quite simply not fair on them, but if I let them out my resident cats fight with them. The layout of my flat is such that I cannot keep them separate without the crate  :(

Non of my local rescues are able to help, and I need to find them somewhere to go ASAP as I am going away over Christmas.

Please please please can someone help?

 :shy:******BUMP******* :shy:

Minky has now gone to a fabulous new home  :Luv2: , but Cicero is still looking for a home or rescue place. He needs somewhere soon, as I am going away for Christmas!

Cic REALLY needs to go ASAP as he has just had a go at my resident male (neutered) cat, who now needs vet treatment :-(

I would now recommend that even though he came from a multi pet household, he be rehomed on his own. Him and my resident cat have had almost 3 weeks of gradual introductions before today, and Cic just flew at him. I would also advise an adult only home as he is becoming increasing flighty and unpredictable around my toddler.

My household is really not suited to this lovely kitty, and he really needs a new home ASAP - Please help!

**BUMP**

Cicero's new home has fallen through, as the potential new owner felt she didn't have enough time for him  :(

I am going away on the 18th Dec, and he HAS to have a new home by then, as I have no back up support to care for him, and just cannot afford a cattery

Please help!

Hi, would you be prepared to help with transport if possible?

Hi

I don't drive personally, but could probably get a lift to wherever is necessary. Other than that I'd also be willing to pay petrol money...

Lol - as soon as I post panicky messages on forums, I get a phone call from a local gentleman wanting Cicero! He has taken him today for a trial, as he also has dogs and birds! Not sure how Cic will react to the birds (YUM! maybe?), but he should be fine with the dogs so fingers crossed that he settles and stays in this home ^_^  :)

Hi

Thanks for asking after him  :Luv:

I haven't heard anything, and they say no news is good news, so I guess he's settled in just fine! Am planning to pop round and see how he is soon  :)
