Heres what the tin says:
Guaranteed Analysis
Protein 4.7%
Fat 4.0%
Moisture 90.2%

95 kcal per 185g can.

Thats probably what it says on the website

Does the tin say on it what the fat and protein % are on a dry matter basis as I can only find it on as 'as fed' basis on the website and I was wanting to compare the values to a/d and the RC convalescence foods

I've ordered the bigger sized one and it will be at the vets tomorrow with their mark up :(  but I didn't want to wait for internet delivery as that could be monday now.

My lot liked it, they got left overs from when Milly had allsorts of food offered. Its very thin but one tin of that a day will keep a cat going as the water content is high unlike a/d.
Its not gritty as its designed with syringe feeding in mind.
I find a/d is liked by more tho  :innocent:

thanks everyone. I know the vets use a/d at the surgery but thought I'd ask about liquivite as it has a lot more in it than a/d.

I have never had a cat that liked it, and my vet doesn't really push it, I much prefer a/d - i even struggled to syringe liquivite.
Please spay your cat

Liquivite is chicken, liver, beef, eggs, skimmed milk, plus vits and minerals, fish oils and prebiotic - no maize flour and weird 'edible gums'  like a/d. Mind you the consistency of a/d is easier to put a blob on your finger and feed that way if necessary.

Jack hated it, Toby drank it from a bowl - but he was a very good patient and Jack was much more independent.

I doubt you'll get any until tomorrow now though, am assuming that's soon enough.

As well as from vets, some pet shops sell Liquivite, or you can order it direct from the website but think they sell it by the case. http://www.liquivite.co.uk/

My cats all love it! I got it for Suzie, and I had to give some to the others because they were going mad for it LOL! Its like a gravy really.

It's from the vets - I've never seen it anywhere else. Some cats will drink it out of a bowl, but it's generally syringe fed I think.

Does anyone have any info on liquivite please, where to get it fast and is it any good? Do you have to syringe it or do cats lick it up? thanks.
