Really glad to hear he's back safe and sound Michelle.  Sometimes, they just get this urge to be out!

Glad he's back Michelle - you can relax now - until the next time  :tired:

This time of year, Kylie occasionally gets the urge to come in!  :evillaugh:

She has been sleeping on a garden chair for the last week or so - she will only come in if it rains  :tired:
We were talking about getting her a kennel but that means I will only see her when she's hungry  :(

He turned up at 12 last night, still very wobberly.
He came in and had something to eat but then wanted to go back out so i sat in the garden with him.
He was very jumpy at everything, almost as if he was seeing things lol

Once he settled down i came in and left him to sleep outside.

This morning he was at back door - in he came, ate for england and is now fast asleep in his bed in the lounge.

Thats for your concern xxx

Hope he's back now Michelle,

Clapton did the same thing - the vet told me to keep him in for 24 hrs after having some teeth out. t was a blistering hot day and the second we got in, he bolted out the catflap, had a drink from the pond andwent to his favourite spot on the garden wall under the shade of a tree and slept for about 4 hours  ;D

Oh Michelle - I love the picture.

Hope he's back home now, but try not to worry too much.  When Pad had his last major anaesthetic, he was desperate to go out.  I didn't want to let him out, but eventually I gave in, took him into the garden and sat with him.  He promptly threw up, gave himself a wash then was fine - he just wanted to be out in the fresh air and to sleep it off in his garden.

Let us know if he's back or not.

   from me

George was like that, come the next morning we escorted him outside for some fresh air but he still wasnt right. I know now he wasnt normal, i think he reacted to the GA or they OD'd him, which hearing things now wouldnt surprise me!

Can you keep him in one room upstairs?

Just remembered , after Ducha had an op Franta his brother and sleeping mate would not go near him for over a week and that was despite exchanging the scent.

In the end poor little Ducha wanted his brother to love him so much he kept going up to Franta and rubbing all over him and that worked ........phewwwwwwww

My cats have usually been fine after the op but I suppose it affects them all differently, saying that some of mine have been a bit more out of sorts that the others.

Maybe if you put him in a room on his own he will have a chance to rest and come round in his own time.

Your cats might be getting smells from the vets and thats why they going for him? Could it be the smell of the anesthetic? If Tramp has peed himself while he was asleep they could be getting smells off that too.  :shy:

It depends how long since the anasthetic but usually I was advised not to let out for 24 hours and then watched kocka make a dash for bathroom and had to stop her from scrammbling out the little top window!!

Why dont you ring vets and ask them?

HELP I AM HAVING A NIGHTMARE
« Reply #1 on: June 12, 2007, 18:34:15 PM »
Got Tramp back from the vets, he is really unsteady on his legs (the worse i have seen)
My cats have attacked him (he must smell different) as i have had to put them out in the garden.

Tramp is going MAD to go out but i cant let him as he can only walk a couple of steps without falling over.

I have tried putting him in a carrier to keep him quiet and still but he was nuts.

Think i am in for a long night !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How long before he should be steady on his legs ? (mind have always been fine after an anisetic)
