What's even worse is the 'buy it now' button, like they're stock being bought and sold  :(

Yep, all too common. When I younger I bought a friend some fish - I thought he was responsible enough to cope with that. Apparantly not, as the fish lasted not very long due to him not feeding them. :( I don't have much to do with him these days, oddly enough. :shy:

OOOOOH!  :mad2: :censored:

I hate people who promote kittens as a Christmas Present (or any animal for that manner)

Who in their right mind brings a baby into a place of screaming, running, grabbing children, fireworks, crackers, party poppers, drunken adults, random strangers running in and out...

The poor baby normally ends up being told off because they have an accident, they get out and lost or they bite/scratch out of sheer terror and are disposed of because they are 'violent' and 'dangerous'... so you end up with nervy, poorly socialised stray/rescue or even euthanised baby animals just because people thought it was a 'cute' idea to give them as a gift!  :censored:

If I really wanted to give, say a kitten, for a christmas/birthday give to my child, I would give them on the day the food/water bowls, scratching post, bed, toys and... an IOU saying 'In Mid January we will go to the rescue and look for a cat'
Oh and a book on cat care for the child... we would then get a cat after the kid passed a basic test on cat care... and once life was back to normal.
