I wonder why this person hasn't approached the local rescues in Edinburgh and West Lothian i.e. CP (Edinburgh & West Lothian), Lothian Cat Rescue, SSPCA, Edinburgh Cat & Dog Home etc. - there will be MANY locally based cats looking to be rehomed?????????  In fact, there was an advert in Saturday's Edinburgh Evening News for an appeal from Edinburgh Cat & Dog Home to rehome a very good natured tabby stray called Marti (has a white bib though, but hey, adds to the sweetness)!

Maybe just me then, I hate being in the car for more than half an hour, seems like the whole day.

Never move to Australia then. I used to think nothing of driving a hundred miles for a party. Or for five hours south from Brisbane to go to my old office christmas party. Half an hour! Hah!

I think it's townies who suffer driver frustration like that. I was born and brought up in London. A half hour trip would only get you 4 miles up the road. Now I moved out, half an hour gets me 20 miles  8) I've just returned from a 60mile round trip just to buy raffle tickets at a neighbouring cat rescue's open day.  :evillaugh:

The furthest I have drove is to Sheffield, which is about an hour away, its not so bad when driving myself but I hate being a passenger.

The point is, RR, you could home check locations near you and rescues could send you pictures and details of cats. If they homes near you like the cats, the rescues can transport them there...

If this home can find a couple of  rescues it would be far better then lining these bsbs pockets   for anything up to £200 for  a moggy

There seems to be quite a few ads/posts up my way looking for kittens & rehoming elderly cats

 :wow: :wow: :wow:

RR, drop a line to that CP lady, Anne from Gateshead. Perhaps you could homecheck for her? Or as blackcat says, the poor cupboard babies? Fingers crossed.  ;)

have you pointed them towards this site so we might be able to help them out.
In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.
